  1. WCNC has gone off the air. They could’ve at least done it before The Voice started
  2. Apparently WXIA has gone dark, but WCNC is still on as of 8pm Eastern.
  3. If he could close on Tegna by Tuesday at 7 that would be greaaat...as a DirecTV guy maybe I could keep NBC
  4. https://tvanswerman.com/2020/11/26/directv-could-lose-60-local-stations-monday/amp/ So I personally could be losing WCNC.
  5. So Nexstar and Dish might be the next one. https://506sports.com/forum/index.php?topic=23469.0 This would leave Charlotte viewers without WJZY, WMYT, WSOC AND WAXN.
  6. WCCB also did the Sun-Thur schedule when they first launched their news department. Never understood why.
  7. WJZY did that the first year they had Fox when WBTV produced their news. And I think WCCB did that when WSOC produced theirs.
  8. Amber Roberts and Jonathan Monté were reporting in Taylorsville today when a bridge they were standing on collapsed on the air. Thank goodness they are OK! How scary! Sometimes the news becomes the news! https://www.fox46.com/severe-weather/hiddenite-bridge-in-alexander-county-collapses-live-on-air/
  9. Ohhhhh nooooo....this would mean no WJZY or WMYT in Charlotte, they are still without WSOC and WAXN and have been since July
  10. People are being sympathetic...glad to see.
  11. WJZY is another example...it will probably get it back from WCCB when that contract runs out. Ironically WCCB picked it up from WJZY after FTS bought WJZY. It won’t be on 46.2 though because it maps to WMYT 55.1.
  12. So he came from WCNC? So that’s why it’s Wake Up Atlanta. I had known Ella was at WGCL, but just assumed it was WXIA because of it being sister stations to WCNC forgetting she was at WGCL. And it’s not even Monday.
  13. Oops...and I was going to even put it in the Tegna board.
  14. WGCL has rebranded their morning show as “Wake Up Atlanta.”
  15. She is still there, and her family lives in Winston-Salem I believe so hopefully she will stick around a while. The station needs some stability. She took Diana Alvear’s 6 and 10:00 spot when she left in February.
  16. Leaving her former station was difficult for her
  17. YouTube TV is dropping the Fox Sports regional channels AGAIN.
  18. https://www.facebook.com/194220537255104/posts/4805304339480011/ WBTV reporter Bria Bell is leaving for a station in Dallas, her hometown. She went to visit Molly because she is still on maternity leave (Molly will be back first week in October).
  19. Right after the Braves-Mets game ended I saw a promo on WJZY for their 10:00 news, about a “Moving Mayhem” feature they are doing on Monday and it said it was “Charlotte’s most watched 10:00 news.” Whaaaaaaaat? So it has passed WCCB AND WAXN at 10?
  20. Yeah I didn’t like when WNCN went with CBS North Carolina when they first switched to CBS in 2016. That was a slap in the face to all the CBS affiliates all over the state, especially legacy affiliates WBTV and WFMY that have always been a primary affiliate since the late 40s, early 50s.
  21. After losing her baby in May, Allison Latos of WSOC found out after a viewer email she had thyroid cancer, I meant to post about this earlier. https://www.wfae.org/post/charlotte-reporter-experiences-sickness-and-loss-also-hope-and-joy?fbclid=IwAR10Gu_tsrxAgwfm8rB2F-AnnErjswGXL_yz8oNOUM37q_ELPyxAey-SAXs#stream/0
  22. Especially since they decided to go the lifestyle route again at 3. QC at 3 is basically a clone of QC in the Morning.
