  1. I fixed it. Tdog threw me off in his tweet because he said “Goodbye Windy City Live, Hello Daytime Chicago”.
  2. Rachael Ray will move to the afternoons to make room for a new show on WGN Chicago. https://tvnewscheck.com/more-news/journalism/article/tonya-francisco-and-amy-rutledge-to-host-wgns-daytime-chicago-this-fall/
  3. CW Daytime will likely go through the week of the 20th since the Saturday night programming doesn’t start til October 2. Young Sheldon promos have begun in earnest on both WJZY and WMYT here, both stations are airing it. WJZY’s version is slightly different as it indicates that it will be paired with BBT. But WMYT’s just says “Young Sheldon coming this fall 5 nights a week.” But both have the older Sheldon with Amy watching the younger Sheldon on TV. YS will not be starting til September 27 and the same for YBYL.
  4. It will likely be on WMYT in Charlotte.
  5. Article says not til next fall, which lines up with what the Katz spreadsheet has been saying. But this makes the ABC cancellation all the more mind boggling. They could’ve had a Season 6 and made more money. Unless that is a typo, like the “no Season 5” statement is. It will likely go to WCCB here, it’s a perfect fit with “Mom “and Katy Mixon’s previous sitcom “Mike and Molly.”
  6. Not a syndicated program but it could be replaced with one…this is a huge deal in Chicago…https://www.robertfeder.com/2021/07/21/abc-7-cancels-windy-city-live-10-years-great-television/
  7. Pretty sure they are…they have aired it at 5 since the beginning. But other than Drew and Ellen, they have mostly only had Maury, Wilkos and Jerry since getting the CW. They even had them when they had Fox. They had three runs of Maury for a while but cut one of them out this past year to make room for Drew.
  8. Yeah WCCB actually aired the CW Springer at 2 for a while until last year.
  9. I don’t think they have said what week the CW stops programming Jerry Springer from 3-4pm (1-2 for WCCB) but I guess it would be September 27 since the CW starts their Saturday night programming October 2.
  10. I wonder when the acquisition of the Meredith stations goes through, if the existing Gray stations will pick up “People”? If they did, in the case of WBTV I can’t see them ditching or moving “On Your Side With Jamie Boll.” I suppose they could shorten “QC at 3” to 30 minutes but I don’t see a place for it on their schedule other than at 1:37 in the morning.
  11. It seems like the type of show that will be on weekends only. Like Weather Gone Viral and Wipeout.
  12. I looked on the Katz spreadsheet and I couldn’t really tell. It did say it would be an hour long.
  13. If it ain’t broke, why fix it?
  14. Newest Young Sheldon on WMYT promo…apparently it isn’t going to be paired with BBT on there.
  15. No TV station seems to be using them…
  16. Set the 3 hour extension for the All-Star game in case it was rain delayed (I know, Denver) but I also wanted to look for promos and caught this one right at the end of Access Hollywood. It sounds like Young Sheldon will be taking TMZ’s place at 7 on WJZY, paired with Big Bang Theory. So I guess YBYL will go either in the morning or afternoon.
  17. Former WJZY sportscaster Josh Sims has found work. Congratulations Josh! They are lucky to have you! I thought he might end up replacing Ken Rodriguez at WAGA but this is even better.
  18. I don’t live in Cleveland but here’s WBNX’s fall schedule. Nick Cannon will air at 2pm. Young Sheldon at 4 and 6:30pm (both following The Goldbergs) and You Bet Your Life at 8 and 8:30. Young Sheldon will also air weekends, Saturday nights at 7:30 and Sunday nights at 6:30, also following The Goldbergs. As for my market, Charlotte, as I said in last year’s thread, it’s been confirmed via on air promos that WJZY and WMYT will share Young Sheldon, and that WJZY will air You Bet Your Life. No word on Nick Cannon but they might have that show too since FTS still owned the stations when they they signed on for the show. Don’t know about the other Charlotte stations. There could be some shows moving around stations. Nexstar demoted Kelly Clarkson, The Real and Dr. Oz to WMYT in February when WJZY launched their noon and 4pm news. Also WCCB will have 1pm open (3pm in most markets) with the CW Jerry Springer run going away.
  19. Now I’m hearing that WJZY could even be changing their call letters! This is coming from speculation but the secondhand source seems pretty legit so it could happen. I hope not. They really don’t need to go that far. That’s the only call letters they have ever had since they’ve been on the air. (They were originally licensed as WHMU).
  20. UPDATE: Just read on the Nexstar channel on Discord that the new set/studio is coming in September. It’s likely coming with a total rebrand, and they have added staff. They could even be adding on to the building. They are also planning on more newscasts. So my guess is that GDC will be expanded into the 9-10am hour and an 11pm news will be added, with Charlotte Sports Live moving to 11:30. I would expect to see the Nexstar graphics in September. Who knows, they might even change the name of the morning news.
  21. Major retirement announcement at WBTV. He will be missed!
  22. Just now seeing this. Can’t see WMYA airing all two hours, as it already airs a 10pm news produced by sister WLOS. I could see them airing 30 minutes of it or an hour. I could see WMYV and WRDC picking up the whole broadcast. The MT and PT stations should have the option to air a repeat at 9 or 10pm their time after CW primetime. As much as a laughingstock as NewsNation is, at least they air a repeat on the West Coast.
  23. Nick Kosir the dancing weatherman formerly of WJZY has a new job in New York
  24. They did get Annie Szatkowski from the Fox affiliate in Grand Rapids for Good Day Charlotte weekends back in April. I didn’t even know she had joined the station until she filled in for Jason Harper last week on the weekday version. I think she might have replaced Rochelle Metzger, who I had no idea had left.
