  1. I'm going to try and look for this one from WVNY/WFFF; the NMSA has this listed as WFFF 2009 News Theme:
  2. KOMU's ND Stacey Woelfel was named the first director of the new Jonathan Murray Documentary Journalism Center at the MU School of Journalism, and, as a result, is stepping down from KOMU on Sept. 1. http://munews.missouri.edu/news-releases/2014/0225-woelfel-named-director-of-new-documentary-journalism-center-at-mu/
  3. WFTS debuted the new Scripps website today. That was all.
  4. WFTS is hinting at some kind of change... https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10152200829985409 28 Action News, anyone?
  5. Wasn't Gray supposed to be getting KAUZ before this?
  6. As promised, the new website for KGNS is up and running, and at the same URL I predicted. (I don't think KGNS has even announced it yet!)
  7. WWBT was poked fun at by the Comedy Central show @midnight last night. Here's why (I can't find the clip from the show; if I do, I'll post it): http://www.nbc12.com/story/24677504/nudist-church (Video may contain explicit content)
  8. KGWN and KCWY have new Gray websites. KGNS still does not. I feel that KGNS is going to rebrand as soon as the ABC subchannel launches; at that point, a new site will come out. EDIT: I could be right about KGNS. Look under "Raw Registrar Data". Their sister KDLT has also gone HD.
  9. Almost certain in my mind that it's WMYD.
  10. Of course, it's WSYX. Just a week after they came up with .
  11. Sad news today: Russ Withers, the Illinois broadcaster whose company owns WDTV in Bridgeport, WV, passed away. http://www.tvnewscheck.com/mobile/index/article/id/73588 You will be missed, Russ. Here's the article from WDTV.
  12. Chris Stewart is leaving WSHM CBS 3 Springfield: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=769687476393463&set=a.142344622461088.21435.124721590890058&type=1
  13. And with this, Hearst has now finished implementing their new graphics and music package. (I don't think WMUR is switching.)
  14. Their studios must be small. REALLY small. That's the only reason I can think of...
  15. Looks like KTEN is getting a new set: https://www.facebook.com/10NewsKTEN/posts/10152191863201411
  16. KRON's GM Brian Grief is stepping down, citing health reasons. http://www.tvnewscheck.com/mobile/index/article/id/73011
  17. Here we go again. Less than a month after the bozos in Baltimore bought WNWO and the rest of the Barrington stations, WNWO has been dropped from Buckeye CableSystem. http://m.toledoblade.com/TV-Radio/2013/12/16/Buckeye-forced-to-drop-WNWO-Ch-24.html
  18. Now this starts an interesting discussion about WRBU in St. Louis. If WRBU were sold to one of these Christian broadcasters and drops MyTV programming, where does it go? My only guess would be KNLC since that market would be too big to have the network on a subchannel. I understand that KNLC is a religious station, but there are plenty of stations that would be like KNLC with MNTV, namely WBNX in Cleveland and KSBI in OKC.
  19. Don't forget about KTEN in the Sherman, TX market. That station seems to have Nexstar written all over it to me. Another acquisition target that Nexstar may want: Rockfleet. Think about it. WJFW would fit in nicely with WFRV, WJMN and soon WLAX/WEUX, and WVII isn't too far away from the WVNY/WFFF duo.
  20. Well, there goes Jersey's last decent news station, let alone their only major network affiliate.
  21. Good because WHBF, along with the other Citadel stations that Nexstar is acquiring, need a MAJOR refresh. I could even see WOI completely relaunch, WPTY-to-WATN style.
  22. Yep. KNBN is the only other news operation in Rapid Falls, because the CBS affiliate is a KELO satellite.
