  1. Stupid decision for Tegna to drop WWL Morning News on Channel 4. Are viewers really going to switch over to WUPL to watch the news? CBS This Morning has come a long way, but WWL Morning news has been king for decades.
  2. KDNL ABC30 in St. Louis in 1999 (Sinclair owned newscast pretty solid and nice set) IDK what happened why they cancelled their newscast. WXLV ABC45 in Greensboro, NC in 1998( The same thing another solid newscast, nice polished set) again what happened?
  3. ABC/25 WJXX in Jacksonville, FL in 2000 before it merge with WTLV 12.
  4. With Raven Baxter High School super powers at 30yrs old with kids. That view will be on The Disney Channel.
  5. Rosie would have a heart attack on tv if that happens. If Donald loses the election E! should give him his own reality show. One thing is he's entertaining.
  6. WXYZ/Detroit Channel 7 11pm Update in 1992 part 2
  7. WXYZ/ Detroit Channel 7 first 13minutes of the news. (Not a fan of the opening, but I did like this set which only lasted for a few years, lots of camera angles.)
  8. Will Mearl Purvis and Darrell Greene be headling the 6:00 newscast?
  9. Another story about what TEGNA doing now this time Channel 10 in Sacramento. Good Luck, Channel 10! Let see if this works. http://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/2016/10/19/tegna-to-launch-new-strategy-today-in-sacramento
  10. Ali Velshi moving over to MSNBC http://www.tvnewsinsider.com/story/ali-velshi-joins-msnbc/
  11. Does Anybody see her going over to NBC Boston?
  12. http://www.adweek.com/tvspy/stacey-bell-returns-to-wnbc/179946
  13. When WWJ/62 CBS did a newscast produce by sister station WKBD 50 which was the former FOX then UPN now CW.
  14. She left own her own because she got her own show. 1st on HLN and then she got another show on Current TV. The story I heard was that Joy wanted to leave on her own, and she wasn't coming back. ABC is heavy on research and focus groups and the research said that audience didn't care for Elisabeth Hasselbeck. So ABC felt it needed to get rid of Elisabeth, but ABC was hesitant about letting Joy go. There was some pressure that they didn't want the show to be too liberal or too conservative. At the end ABC said let them both leave at the end of their contract to usher them out. Brian Frons was the head of ABC Daytime 2002-2011; but when All My Children & One Life to Live got the boot. Many people wonder what was the state of the daytime dept. Brian left, many people hated him for the slaughter of the (2) soaps. Vikki Dummer, came in follow by Lisa Hackner now Rebecca Campbell...However make note Anne Sweeney wanted to kill all 3 soaps on ABC at the same time. However this could be The View last season as well too.
  15. FTVLIVE.com is reporting on a story about the News Directors having this big meeting and changing course. http://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/2016/10/11/tegna-called-news-directors-to-content-summit
  16. Can't believe she retiring 20 years at WXIA and almost 30 years in the Atlanta market. Carmen Harlan in Detroit now Brenda Wood in Atlanta. WOW!
  17. WEAR-TV Channel 3 in Pensacola, FL (1994) open WEAR-TV (1989) Newscast
  18. Here a snap shot of the ratings in the Cleveland market. Now this was from 2013, but from findings WKYC 2nd place at 6PM, but haven't found anything from 14,15 or present day in 16. http://www.partnersriley.com/and-in-local-tv-the-winner-is/
  19. Brad Good leaves KOMO Morning News in Seattle. http://www.bizjournals.com/seattle/news/2016/09/21/exclusive-broadcaster-brad-goode-leaves-komo-for.html
  20. Yeah I agree. When WEWS used to owned the market, and WOIO is looking better then there's a problem. 4th place is where WEWS should get used to.
  21. http://www.adweek.com/tvspy/detroit-station-names-new-evening-anchor/178744 Not surprise, but I'm sure Rhonda is mad. She been itching for Carmen's job.
  22. Rhonda been doing mornings since 1998, but that when she was doing traffic over at FOX 2. In 2003, she jump ship to Channel 4 doing the morning news, but in 2007 for a hot minute she was doing the 5PM News. Not sure if it was for the hour-long or if it was 30 minutes. That didn't last long, so she was placed back on the morning news. WDIV has alot of castaways from FOX 2 and a few from WXYZ. Their talent bench is heavy. I still can't believe Carmen, is retiring. I just think the station would have her continue in some role, where they bring her out for special reports. She been the face of that station forever. There was a time back when WJBK/TV2 was CBS they were courting Carmen to jump ship.
  23. Rhonda Walker has been itching to get Carmen's job. Many Detroiters would say Ruth wanted Carmen's job. Lila wanted Ruth's job and Rhonda wanted Lila's job. However, Rhonda Walker has been itching to get Carmen's job, but it seems that Kimberly is the ideal candidate, but we should see how it all will play out. I wonder if they would move Karen Drew to morning news/noon. Rhonda at 4,5 and Kimberly at 6/11.
  24. WDIV's lead female anchor Carmen Harlan set to retire in Nov after 38 years with the station. Nov 11, final air date. http://www.clickondetroit.com/news/detroit-broadcasting-legend-carmen-harlan-to-retire-from-wdiv-local-4-in-november
