  1. At around 7:30 this morning: "We have a live look at the capital…" … "I just lied, we lost the feed." I love WGN.
  2. That sure was some delicious popcorn.
  3. You're right, it's a sister site of the Onion.
  4. I just thought it was funny, and that at least someone else would it funny too.
  5. This is a little late to post by now, but I was surprised to see a picture of Karen Jordan used in this Clickhole article. It's satirical, obviously.
  6. Seriously, CircleSeven, calm down. Take a break, take some deep breaths, sleep on it. You get the idea. Look at the upsides. We have a beautiful, professional, spruced-up look. We still have many of the familiar faces. Eyewitness News is back. And when you look at it, the majority of this music package is really good. Look, I myself was disappointed when they discontinued the midday news. I also thought I would be really disappointed once NS2000+ was eliminated. But it's not the end of the world. We have some recent replacements: the online newscast and the other stations. Overall, it hasn't affected me like I thought it would, mainly because I'm not watching TV during that hour anymore, since I'm in class. With regards for the music, it really isn't that bad. Again, look at the upside; they could have done a lot worse. If it's something you'll be watching every day, you're bound to get used to it. If you still don't like it, don't watch it. i was actually in a similar situation: when the then-new Univision logo was unveiled was unveiled in October 2012, I hated it. A lot. I thought it was some kind of joke. But when it was made the official logo on the network itself on January 1, I started to feel it wasn't that bad. Since I watch Univision almost every day, the logo has really grown on me. I really like it now. It had a stellar execution, on the local and national level. TL;DR Keep calm and carry on. It's not the end of the world.
  7. I love how I was able to get a screenshot of Cheryl Burton just in time for that raised eyebrow.
  8. I'm not sure when exactly it happened, but the Luna closed captioning sponsor screen at the end of newscasts was changed. The screen is now widescreen, the background is different, and it has the current ABC 7 glass ball logo.
  9. Hmm, I think the 7-day looks okay, but those 3-D columns are superfluous. They could have just been like the old columns. I like the background, though. Was the AccuWeather text there before?
  10. I saw the 10 PM newscast last night, and they definitely were using the new mic flags by then.
  11. So, Save Me is premiering May 23 on NBC, right near the end of the season. Something tells me NBC doesn't have much hope in it.
  12. I'm wondering what changes will take place on WLS, especially regarding "7 in the Morning"…
  13. I remember WGBO made a similar claim, when they said in a promo that they were the most-watched newscast during the flood, regardless of language. They didn't specify when exactly, though. I can't find the promo.
  14. If they change the graphics and music on the morning newscast (or anywhere else), I'm really going to miss them. The music is one of the reasons I like WLS.
  15. This week's episode of The Good Wife really makes me anticipate next week's season finale.
