WCNC has been making changes lately. They changed the LEDs on the set from blue to gray in some areas, to tone down the blue. They've also started the 11pm news standing in front of a large monitor they have. I think the entire newscast may have been there yesterday - they were standing around it at the close. I'm guessing this is from their interim news director?

Did eyewitness news get rid of their livestream? I noticed there's a message that says "We are sorry' date=' but the URL you requested could not be found. The page you are looking for may have been renamed, moved, or deleted." IDK, but I hope not, I rely on livestreams to get my news![/size']

WSOC's helicopter helped police recently with a manhunt. Also, it looks like WCNC no longer has their helicopter, Airstar. It is mentioned that they let the contract lapse after the acquisition by Gannett.

Some of the anchors posted pictures when they were filming the opens over the summer, and they are very similar to what they have now.How much do we want to bet the WABC will have the same opens as WLS? -

WJZY, FOX 46 Carolinas, has started hiring people for their newscast, launching in January of 2014. Right now there are listings for anchors, reporters, and behind the scenes staff. I would have thought that she would have a contract with Al Jazeera. Was she seen on air on Al Jazeera? It was only a couple of weeks ago that she left WCCB.What???? There is more to the story (maybe she wants job security since AJAM is just beginning and don't know how things are going to work out...) But this is very odd to me but I may be over thinking. -
Kellie Patterson is moving to Denver, Colorado. Today was her last day at WCNC.

Her agent is Ken Lindner, so I'm thinking she's moving to a higher market.Wonder if it could possibly be WJZY. They may mostly be looking for Fox people but could be a possibility. It might be a little early for them to hire an anchor though. -
Kellie Patterson is leaving WCNC for another, unannounced anchoring position. She joined WCNC in 2010. Also, WBTV has hired a new reporter, Pamela Escobar.

Tonight is Morgan Fogartys last night at WCCB. She is moving to an anchoring position at Al Jazeera America.

I actually toured WABC yesterday will Bill Ritter. While we were waiting for him and Liz to come down to the lobby to go to the studio, we saw Kemberly and Lauren Glassberg running to go to the studio, so Lauren could end her story. She didn't make it though, but it is really nice to be on their set.

WJZY (Soon to be Fox 46 Carolinas) has appointed Geoff Roth to oversee the development of WJZY's in house newscasts. He comes from the Fox owned station, KRIV (Fox Houston). He will oversee the construction of a newsroom, and news operation from the ground up.

Not sure if this has already been mentioned, but I asked Ginger who will be filling in for her while she is away. She said that there will be a bunch of different people, including Spencer Christian.
