KPRC/Houston will no longer air a 430a newscast starting tomorrow (Monday, 1/9). An extra Early Today will air in that timeslot. Seems like a bizarre move for a station in such a large market, esp one that has had a lot of momentum lately. Their 4:30a newscast is around 15 years old now and every other Houston station is on the air at that time. KRIV goes on even earlier at 4a.
They don't have enough producers.

WFLA will be very angry, as they literally run themselves on streaming coverage and online specials, especially during hurricane season.
It wasn't long ago when the company thought most stations would adopt the WFLA "always on" model of streaming. WGN-TV and KDVR did it for a while.

Don't dip your pen in the company ink, kids.
A company like Disney probably has a relationships policy among co-workers, but most likely just for a superior-subordinate relationship. Personally, I don't care. I don't think it will affect anything on air until they begin hating each other (and it will happen). It'll be expensive divorces for both of them, though! The lawyer for one of the estranged spouses probably hired the P.I..

Those of us of a certain age will remember Rankin/Bass productions. Jules Bass died recently. Rankin died years ago.
