Fun Fact: Hot Haus' Matt Quinn is based in Cleveland and has done a lot of work with both WOIO and WKYC.
Quinn was behind OIO's famous graphical looks through most of the 2000's.
Not a stretch to think they went local again with a familiar face.
Much like the Nashville stations do with 615 (WCPM)- 4

NewsNet also now has a wikipedia page about it with a lot of information.

That may soon change. KGUN's weather has the Scripps package. -

I mean, their corporate partner to the north *is* KRQE.
That logo fits.

I was skeptical about this guy being successful running the Michigan station but seeing that it worked was amazing.
However I don’t see any large station groups signing on to affiliate with this diginet. They’ll want to sign on a diginet that has some stability - with a secure programming slate and financial backing. If they were using crowdfunding for the first try and failed - what will make this successful? The satellite distribution costs alone will cost more in a month than the amount they were trying to raise in the first go round. And who will be providing them content AP, Reuters, NewSource? Those costs are going to add up quick.
Also, any station that signs on is going to barely make any ad money on this deal. Unless they plan on paying for carriage like some diginets do or did when starting out.
I only see this really appealing to small or minority broadcasters that are running five subchannels already.
Word is that the crowdfunding angle was ditched and investors signed on, so that's how it is able to launch.

Bit of an Update:
The kickstarter didn't go as hoped, and the project was rebranded.
http://yournewsnet.com/introducing-newsnet/
News Net is set to launch in January.
One of the big items dropped: local/regional programming other than inserted ads at the station level.

Longtime KRBC Anchor/Chief Meteorologist (and former KTAB Met) is leaving the station.

FTVLIVE.com is reporting that he hearing Thomas Roberts from MSNBC, ET & HLN will be the new main male anchor at CBS46 in Atlanta.

How does one go from filling in on a flagship network news program to the lowest rated revolving door in DMA 10?

I actually like the "eyeopener" style.
Would be better if they dropped the traditional tease all together.

Police say she was driving drunk and resisted, assaulted, or obstructed officers.

Now let’s have a look at WIAT’s mess of a new look (I hope this soon gets pushed aside for the Nexstar CBS package):
Holy hell. It's worse than I thought.
Such a hodgepodge.
-
according to the NMSA WIAT is now using Connection from 360 music
And they're not using it well.
They've also butchered their graphics. Sad.
-
Correct me if I'm worng, but doesn't WRDE outsource its newscasts to INN?
It does.
-
Oh great. WXII in the Piedmont Triad, WXII in Northern Michigan. How fun.
What did northern Michigan's WXII call sign mean?
WLLZ is also Channel 12 (XII is the roman numeral for 12)

Freelancer Television Broadcasting, Inc. has finished its purchase of WLLZ-LP Cedar, MI.
It was announced today that FTB would be changing WLLZ's call sign to...
WXII-LP
Todo, I don't think we're in Greensboro, High Point, or Winston-Salem anymore.
Hello everyone,We just received word from the FCC that they have granted our request to change the call sign of WLLZ-LP to WXII-LP.
The change is effective this Thursday (December 21, 2017); please update your records accordingly! Aside from the call sign, nothing else about the station has changed - the program schedules, coverage area and COZI/MyNetworkTV affiliations remain the same as they’ve been in the past.
-
The Nexstar website names will always live on stations with consolidated news departments.
BigCountryHomepage.com for KTAB and KRBC.
There's no way they could be separated.
-
WLLZ has a local news product now, however small. A 90 second update airs during the first ad break of each hour every weekday from 6PM - 10PM.
The update is produced by recent sister station WMNN, with mostly different graphics and a different music package.
Stephen Arnold's Elevation has been resurrected.
-
A few people have contracts with Nexstar (as acquired from Young Broadcasting stations). RenderOn isn't one of them though.
Okay? We were talking about Cox stations.

-
I see that, and I raise you WJAX/WFOX's new graphics package.
It's likely that package was designed by Renderon, the same company that did the Scripps package.
It fits their style.

Also, is it me or does this also scream Arnold?
That's actually production music from audiojungle.

Would be interesting to know who owns KPEJ's building.
