  1. I agree. WCBS has the best set. And lighting. I find it is the most polished set. And the worst set is WNBC. That lucite table is horrendous. It's not a desk, it's a table.
  2. A lot of people think she was let go because she is a 58 year old woman, with grey hair.
  3. I do like the corporate, polished look of the WCBS news. I like Maurice Dubois and Kristine Johnson together. I find it very professional. I like WABC Eyewitness News too, but I find the blue lower third a little too big. I prefer the Chicago ABC 7 look. Thinner and sleeker. One thing that bugs me from the WNBC News is the see through table. A desk would be nicer. I am not a fan of seeing the anchors' knees when they are sitting.
  4. They made such a fuss about the big move to Times Square. I am surprised that they waited that long to put a picture of Times Square somewhere in the set.
  5. There is already a streaming weather channel, called Weather Nation. I find it pretty good. Great app to have on your streaming device.
  6. From what I can read on most of their posts on Facebook, the new format of the show is not very well liked. Lots of bad reviews...
  7. The opening phrase Breaking tonight as we come on the air is starting to get old already.
  8. Nice open, but the whole thing is 2 minutes and a half......a little too long if you ask me.
  9. The headline preview at the beginning of the show is way too long...and so overly dramatic.. And they keep teasing the same upcoming stories too many times, before going to commercial. It's becoming like Inside Edition.
  10. Is it gonna be a dance club or a news studio? Or maybe Studio 54 ?
  11. As long as I can remember, going back at least 30 years, the CBS evening news in the Burlington, VT / Plattsburgh, NY market has been airing at 7 PM every weeknights. NBC and ABC are both on at 6H30 PM. It would be interesting to see if it makes a difference in the ratings, compared to other markets.
  12. I wonder if the move to Washington DC will stop the bleeding?
  13. That girl always seemed in a good mood. She will be missed on PIX.
  14. Watching CBSN New York right now. Not bad at all. Commercials are a little repetitive. But it's a good broadcast. (or streamcast, I guess) Is it supposed to be live 24 hours a day ?
  15. https://www.adweek.com/tvnewser/morning-show-ratings-week-of-nov-12-2/385079 Today beats GMA, for 4 weeks in row, in total and in the demo. Do you think it has to do with Megyn Kelly leaving the Today franchise, or is GMA becoming unwatchable for a large number of viewers that might have switched to Today?
  16. https://www.adweek.com/tvnewser/morning-show-ratings-week-of-oct-29-2/383527 The Today Show is number 1, across the board, for a second week in a row.
  17. https://www.adweek.com/tvnewser/morning-show-ratings-week-of-oct-22-2/382480 The Today Show was number 1 in all categories last week....
  18. A weatherman/woman would be great. I would watch more often. I like to get the big picture when it comes to the weather. Not just the local 10 second weather forecast.
  19. Maybe when John Muller said he would never do mornings again, he meant as long as Suki was there.
  20. Everytime they come back from a commercial break, Scott and Suki are singing a song, this week. I don't know if it's because she is leaving, and they just don't care anymore, but it is really annoying. Scott seems to be the one who starts the singing. Maybe he also wants to get the boot.
  21. The morning news now has Air 11 chopper reports maybe twice every half hour. Reporting traffic all over the area. With the reporter from CBS Radio 880. I noticed that, the last two mornings.
  22. They should redo the opening. The subway train cartoon has got to go.
  23. I am not blaming Michael, or the others. But when he started, the show would open with all of them sitting at the desk, and from the get go, they were in a festive mood, laughing, giggling. Maybe it's in my head, but the atmosphere seemed a little too laid back.
  24. When Sam and Josh left the show, the whole show changed. Then Michael Strahan came in. The show started to be more like a morning entertainment tonight, than a morning news show. They paid more attention to who will be on Dancing with the Stars, then the news. I switched back to the Today show. And never looked back.
  25. New traffic screens this morning. and the video wall, that shows four traffic web cams at a time.
