  1. I do like the corporate, polished look of the WCBS news.  I like Maurice Dubois and Kristine Johnson together.    I find it very professional.

I like WABC Eyewitness News too,  but I find the blue lower third a little too big.   I prefer the Chicago ABC 7 look.  Thinner and sleeker.

One thing that bugs me from the WNBC News is the see through table.   A desk would be nicer.   I am not a fan of seeing the anchors' knees when they are sitting.

  2. The headline preview at the beginning of the show is way too long...and so overly dramatic..

And they keep teasing the same upcoming stories too many times, before going to commercial.   It's becoming like Inside Edition.

  3. As long as I can remember, going back at least 30 years, the CBS evening news in the Burlington, VT / Plattsburgh, NY market has been airing at 7 PM every weeknights.    NBC and ABC are both on at 6H30 PM.

It would be interesting to see if it makes a difference in the ratings, compared to other markets.

  4. Watching  CBSN  New York right now.   Not bad at all.     Commercials are a little repetitive.  But it's a good broadcast. (or streamcast, I guess)      Is it supposed to be live 24 hours a day ?

  5. Everytime they come back from a commercial break, Scott and Suki are singing a song, this week. I don't know if it's because she is leaving, and they just don't care anymore, but it is really annoying. Scott seems to be the one who starts the singing. Maybe he also wants to get the boot.

  6. I am not blaming Michael, or the others. But when he started, the show would open with all of them sitting at the desk, and from the get go, they were in a festive mood, laughing, giggling. Maybe it's in my head, but the atmosphere seemed a little too laid back.

  7. When Sam and Josh left the show, the whole show changed. Then Michael Strahan came in. The show started to be more like a morning entertainment tonight, than a morning news show. They paid more attention to who will be on Dancing with the Stars, then the news.

I switched back to the Today show. And never looked back.
