  1. I agree regarding Lara. I'm not sure if she just recently became such a turn off or is she always was and we just never noticed when Josh and Sam were on with her. She's the only weak link of the program for me and it's remarkable how much Amy has outshined her so quickly.
  2. Do we have any GMA history buffs in here? I'm wondering something after today's reunion. John Coleman was listed as the weather guy from 1975-1982, then Spencer Christian is listed from 1986-1998, so who handled this weather in between that 4 year gap?
  3. This morning was absolutely incredible, I laughed and cried. It was so awesome to see everyone I grew up watching again together in one room. Charlie and Diane were the power team by the time I started watching this show and I've been with it ever since!
  4. Would that be the story about the bus tours? That was so incredible to hear! This makes me wonder why GMA rarely ever does traveling now for the program?
  5. Bill Ritter. Does anyone remember him anchoring for a few months right after Charlie left? I always thought he would have been a great replacement for Charlie. It's so good to see everyone back in one room.
  6. Sam Champion just appeared on the live stream with Robin. Boy I miss their chemistry with one another. There's a reunion coming up in about an hour Also, when GMA begins to look for what to do after Robin and George leave, Amy and TJ Holmes make a great pair.
  7. Not really interested nor do I care about what pleases you. Simple as that. You stated an opinion and I stated mine. Simple as that. If you don't like a show so much and have predetermined that it's a waste of your time, why are you investing so much into criticizing it? That's the real embarrassment, if you ask me.
  8. No i'm totally respectful and open to other people's opinions but it's getting old of hearing the whole "GMA is tabloidish" when in reality they're no different than their closest competitor in the amount of unserious news topics they present(used to present) in one broadcast. My comment was simply pointing out that those who fail to see just how similar Good Morning America is to Today, really can't comprehend why their claims about GMA are so ironic. The show's are and always have targeted the same audience. GMA is flashier because of the graphics and quick pace of the program but ultimately the content is the exact same so stop just stop with trying to make NBC's morning offering seem like some real hard hitter broadcasting, while calling ABC's morning edition of TMZ.
  9. And you're obviously not paying attention. The entire first hour of the livestream was all news, analysis and discussion of current events. It's so unoriginal when people try to pile onto GMA for being an entertainment option especially considering the fact that the show has taken a serious turn from the fluff stuff in the past month. Calling GMA entertainment geared has just become so status quo that you and others don't even care to actually fairly critic or analyze the actual broadcast.
  10. I love the new theme and the desk is pretty nice. The soft set with the couch and chairs is pretty horrible though. Overall this is a nice upgrade for GMA, 40 years of Good Morning America tomorrow.
  11. Her mother passed not that long before her husband as well.
  12. There are no problems, everyone tends to scream and go crazy when numbers do funny things during the summer months. GMA obviously realizes this as they haven't done anything drastic.
  13. Said it from the beginning as did so many others. This was bound to backfire on the two of them only, not ABC or NBC. They both have the same agent who made outrageous demands that ABC was not okay with and ABC took a bet by letting them walk. It's turned out well for the network and now these two are left blowing in the wind. It's funny because it was hard to imagine GMA being the same without their presence but the show has faired well and added great personalities to fill the void. I could see Josh returning to the network in some form and then maybe as a replacement to George.
  14. Yes and it was also speculated that the Orange Room was built a quick add that Today decided on when they caught wind that GMA was preparing to create the Social Square.
  15. GMA leading the way in more ways than just ratings. Pretty sure the "new" orange room will be much more similar in concept to GMA's social square
  16. Nothing against tattoos but that just looks really unprofessional
  17. You're probably right, I'm just hoping that ABC will be ready when the time comes. I think it could do them some good to look outside the network for a male replacement when the time comes, someone who carries a big name and even bigger presence with them, something like NBC did with Meredith.
  18. That's crazy. I've got to agree with the ABCer from the Mediaite story "the show doesn't want nor feel they need him" while Josh's personality from when he started on GMA is missed, the show hasn't missed a beat without him. Amy is not being demoted, she fits in just as well as Josh did. Now where I could see something working out is if George decides to depart and Josh be brought in as his successor. Come to think of it, GMA doesn't really have a clear successor for George.
  19. Everything Erica Hill touches turns into ratings decline. She has a horrible track record, yet still ends up getting jobs. Mind boggling
  20. David anchoring 11 solo tonight according to his Twitter
  21. Someone has shared their theory as to why somewhere on here before but I can't find it anywhere. You are correct though, in the 11 years since Ron has been apart of Weekend GMA I can't recall one time that I've seen him on the weekday edition
  22. Yeah looking at the trends the Today Show catches up to GMA the weeks that Lara is filling in. She reportedly got it worked into her contract that she would fill in for Robin M-W while Amy took over Thursday and Friday. It doesn't even make sense that they would put her at the anchor seat instead of Amy when Amy is 1000x better at anchoring than Lara. All this just to say, Lara is good at what she does which is fluff entertainment spots. I can't take her seriously when she's interviewing presidential candidates about important topics or anything else serious.
  23. It's not bad but they should go back to the open they used for most of last year which was just "Live from Times Square, the date, this is Good Morning America" that way they avoid having to include Lara's name in the intro. Also it seems as of late that Amy is main fill-in for Robin once again instead of Lara, anyone else notice this?
  24. Is that confirmed? The only reason I ask is because the first day I saw the new graphics were yesterday following the South Carolina shootings and they had a shorten brief introduction that was just about the incident and not the normal full teaser. I haven't seen since yesterday so I wasn't sure if they were just using that shortened intro for that day only
  25. I agree with that SC from 7-9 would have made more sense but maybe ESPN doesn't want one block of SC broadcasting from all the other blocks of the program. Also I haven't seen Reali on the show in a while and it seems that Jesse Palmer is there on the days that Michael Strahan is not. Palmer is pretty good I enjoy his interaction with the team.
