1. The quick cast graphics are used on other ABC O&Os social media pages and sites, for example https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10152564364162452&set=vb.38245492451&type=2&theater https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10153038904622079&set=vb.57427307078&type=2&theater
2. Looks like this is the last weekend of The Debrief with David Ushery. Images posted on its Facebook page earlier today captioned the photos "Watch the final show of The Debrief with David Ushery this Sunday at 5:30 am and help us celebrate a fantastic five years!"
3. So when is that "Top of the Rock" cam going to be back?
4. You mean the morning backdrop is no longer a sunset?
5. The desk video wall was different tonight. This is the first street-view backdrop that is not in an angle.
6. This won't be the first time...
7. I was able to detect it on my qam turner in the LI region. Here are some snapshots of the grahpics (from the LoHud feed)
8. "News 4 New York Now" short transitions opens are during the Today Show newspots, 12pm and 5pm. My only guess is to match "The Now" slogan. I see the short open good for TINY spots more than an opening for a newscast.
9. I remember a while back NBC had plans to have all O&Os have their ad times run at NBC Local Media at 30 Rock instead of the local stations. Since the Comcast take over, I have not yet confirmed if this did actually happened.
10. Digital subchannels can be found over the air and on cable providers.
11. Oops! WNBC 4.2 was showing WRC-TV local promos earlier today.
12. Seems pretty creative and upbeat, but more versions are needed. I am shocked there is no one version with just chopper 4 and nothing else.
13. Not a fan of this camera angle. It doesn't have a "window" feel like the camera on the roof has. The last time they used a similar camera was during the 2012 elections.
14. WNJU has their own edit of the promo. http://vimeo.com/81251099
15. NY Nightly News is now News at 7. As of now, it is a shuffle seat. No permanent anchor.
16. The newscast bug hasn't had the Olympic rings since the 2008 Olympic Games.
17. It was on a different set tonight for the mayoral debates. EDIT: Mayoral debates is in 3C.
18. Doesn't WABC use 7Online as an online identity? Why they don't use it for social media is beyond my thoughts.
19. Judging from this image, https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151586622197875&set=a.10151586620852875.1073741827.254253402874&type=1&theater, 7E is dismantled, to any who was wondering. However, the other day, the box graphics shown between 3C and newsroom said something quite different. I thought the "control room" was studio 7K or is that newsroom still considered 7E?
20. Contessa Brewer was using an iPad tonight instead of using a paper script. Is this NBC trying to go green?
21. The news at 7 was never dropped during the cozi transition.
22. Scott Stranford anchoring the 7PM news on 4.2 tonight.
23. Not a surprise to me. I was wondering for a while when they will drop "Mike'd Up" since Francesca left in July 2011.
24. Usually in most newsrooms and control rooms, all local stations (including some cable channels) have their own monitor.
