The base of it is TiH, but it *almost* sounds custom mixed with extra hits of the "This is Home" chords.

 

EDIT: That close though...that was something not in the TiH I've heard on the NMSA website...

Forgive me, I do not know enough music packages, but is this just a cut of This is Home or is there another signature in it? Either way, this is probably the best version of TIH I've heard so far.

Longtime anchor of WVEC's morning show Daybreak is leaving the show after 16 years:

He isn't leaving the station, but will be leaving the broadcast next Wednesday, August 6. No word yet on what he will be doing (new 4pm newscast maybe once final Katie episode airs?), or who will replace him in the anchor chair, though it's likely that Sandra Parker, Daybreak's current breaking news and fill-in anchor will take his spot.

 

Yup - http://www.vartv.com/pdf/WVEC_2014_07_30.pdf 4pm, that means every station in the market has a 4pm newscast. Is this the first market to do that?

Well WCNC is already talking about the new WCNC.com and I wondering if that will be the new logo? (see picture below)

What I notice the most about the change is that the NBC Peacock looks clearer, as well as the weather graphics. I'm hoping that you can notice it more once they switch over to the new graphics.

 

Meh - my tv is dead locked on WSOC so I never saw. I can't even tell you who their anchors are. I'll watch tonight at 11 however.

WUSA's "We don't want to use the Gannett standard open" cold-open is right up there with the other bad opens.

 

I'm in the DC market, I didnt realize they had such a horrible open. Hence the reason why I watch News 4.
