  1. Not sure how Suki will vibe in the long term. I could see her angling for a bigger spot in due time. She's not one to play second fiddle. So far we know: Suki and Jenn will be in studio 4:30-7 and reporting for GDNY after that (will be weird to see Suki report from in the field.) Teresa has been re-assigned to evening reporter. Nothing yet on Antwan but I'd assume either the same or maybe returning to anchoring weekend evenings.
  2. I have nothing against Scott but it makes no sense to return him to weeknight sports. It's not that crucial of a role. Yes, he isn't a fit for the morning show so just let him go and eat the contract. Andy is doing just fine in the evenings. As far as putting Mannarino in the morning anchor chair, that would be a mistake. If anything, they should move Muller to mornings and slot Kory in his place in the evening.
  3. WPIX has a new GM. http://www.adweek.com/tvspy/chris-wayland-has-been-named-svp-gm-of-wpix-tv-new-york/189549
  4. Reporter Kristina Behr's last day was today. She's leaving for a FT job (anchor + reporter) within the market. Unknown yet where.
  5. There's a 20 year age difference between Kelly and Kasie. Sad to think but true.
  6. Hopefully the bi-coastal relationship works out. If it becomes strained over time, Stacey could leave or take a reduced role. I hope not, as she's one of the best talents they have. And absolutely true given the instability of NFL HC's and now the Chargers franchise, its smart for Stacey to at least keep her job in NYC for the time being.
  7. Sort of, yes. He probably could have stayed and gotten the top job in Buffalo for next season (he was interim head coach), but the Chargers probably offered a better deal. However I don't see Stacey participating in a bi-coastal marriage, simply based on her past actions. She left a good anchor job in Cleveland when her husband left the Browns for the Jets, and that's how she ended up in NY news. When her husband got the job in Buffalo, she left to head up there.
  8. Stacey Bell may be leaving (again) as quickly as she came in (again.) Her husband was just hired as the head coach of the San Diego--errr--Los Angeles Chargers.
  9. Juliet Huddy's abrupt departure explained. She had reached a settlement with the network after alleging sexual harassment against Bill O'Reilly. https://mobile.nytimes.com/2017/01/10/business/media/bill-oreilly-sexual-harassment-fox-news-juliet-huddy.html?src=twr&_r=0&referer=https://t.co/XblVNjXxBS
  10. Lidia Curanaj suing FNC. Also claims discrimination from her bosses at WNYW. http://mobile.nytimes.com/2016/12/13/business/fox-faces-new-lawsuit-claiming-harassment-by-roger-ailes.html?referer=
  11. It definitely was her choice. Sibila was excellent and really helped return stability to that newscast. It's a shame she left. So glad Stacey is back, that was quick! She is pure class and WNBC is better for having her. She could have easily slotted in at 11pm. Interesting to note that Stacey's husband is a coach on Rex Ryan'a staff in Buffalo (that's why she left WNBC in the first place.) He followed him there when Rex went from the Jets to the Bills. I assume that's Stacey taking this job insinuates that Rex and his staff (including Stacey's husband) won't be retained next season. Seems like Stacey is gambling they won't be in Buffalo much longer.
  12. You don't turn down these opportunities because they might never come again. There is risk in every job... That's exactly what I said.
  13. Wow. What a rapid rise for Natalie. Good for her. When you're offered a spot on the flagship newscast, you don't say no. Period. Plus, Sibila left truly on her own accord. There is no reason to suggest Sibila couldn't have been on that newscast for the next ten years.
  14. I'm assuming 3K is bigger? 3C is tiny, but I still really like the set. It's held up well over the last few years.
  15. There was something off about her departure. First of all, the timing of her departure in regards to Ailes' resignation definitely has relevance on this situation. Juliet was deeply entrenched in Fox News for nearly two decades. Her goodbye was also very odd. She didn't anchor but they had her on at the end of the show? That's quite uncommon. Juliet brought a veteran presence to the early morning and she will be missed.
  16. Wow, if Juliet is really gone, that is pretty remarkable. It's no secret that her and brother John (now a foreign correspondent at FNC) received preferential treatment by their godfather Roger Ailes, but Juliet was quite enjoyable on GDWU. This is a pretty decisive move by management. It makes you wonder what could happen to Dari Alexander (another one who was protected by Ailes) in the coming months.

  18. Bye! See you when you're back in a few weeks.
  19. Thank God we have you here, to be incredibly fucking annoying and to correct us on the important things like this.
  20. Odds on when Maurice officially leaves for the mothership? http://www.adweek.com/tvnewser/maurice-dubois-anchors-cbs-news-special-on-dallas-police-killings/298360
  21. She was just married and is moving to be with her husband.
  22. If ABC were smart, they'd move Lara Spencer off GMA and onto The View. Kill two birds with one stone, give Lara some fancy title with red carpet specials in addition to The View and you're all set.
  23. Not sure what's so hard to understand here. George was ALSO an employee/aide to a political figure. Then he gave $75,000 to a foundation which is now under much scrutiny for it's soliciting of donations from foreign governments. His conflict of interest--if we're calling it that--was and is far worse than Diane's ever was.
  24. Your argument holds no water. Diane didn't make a nearly six figure donation to a a "foundation" the way George did.
  25. So then George shouldn't be allowed to anchor because he's worked for the Clintons and donated $75,000 to their foundation, right?
