  1. They’ve used the breaking news cuts along side Aerial for at least the last year and a half.
  2. Mimi is still employed full time at a local radio station. WXIN is the only one with a dedicated traffic anchor.
  3. WSFA moves to their new space in downtown Montgomery tomorrow.
  4. Scripps is replacing the 30 minute version of “The Now” with a daily Coronavirus special.
  5. I’ve heard WTHR will be TEGNA’ed by the end of the month. I’ll ask my source for an update.
  6. The like the package, but that slogan is a bit rough.
  7. I find it weird that the former Nexstar stations have switched to the new layouts, but WTHR and WBNS remain status quo for now.
  8. The graphics hub is in Tampa. If something goes wrong they can fix it quick.
  9. It's definitely a hybrid of what they were using and the full look. I was told to expect the new look to expect the new look next month or March.
  10. My sources say WRTV is still a few months out.
  11. I don’t go to the games often. They were using the Tegna transitions. Not specifically the weather graphics. I would only assume the full graphics package is coming.
  12. WTHR is using the Tegna graphics for weather cut-ins at Pacers games.
  13. Huntsville is about 20 miles closer to Chattanooga than Knoxville is to Chattanooga. I know all of the Huntsville stations sent crews to Chattanooga for the 2016 school bus crash. As it was also mentioned above parts of Northeast Alabama can easily access Chattanooga stations much easier than they can Huntsville (despite it being in the HSV DMA).
  14. If it’s big enough Huntsville will go.
  15. Let’s see if that happens tonight. I think that was an OH F! moment and somebody didn’t change the template in ENPS.
  16. Master Control for KASW and WSFL goes live in Indy on Monday.
  17. They’ve traditionally made big changes in December. They debuted their current set in December 2014.
  18. I liked the pace of the show. But, I’m not a huge steadicam fan.
  19. It was. They knew they were moving about the middle of last year. They’re current building is in a really bad part of town.
  20. I was watching WFAA's stream here at work, then they abruptly wrapped. It was very weird.
  21. KIVI launched a different virtual set on Monday.
  22. Well, this just aired on WTHR. It was accompanied by SAM's "Everywhere I Go."
