  1. The old set was rough... it gave off a bomb shelter feeling. TOO MUCH BRICK!
  2. Ive been told they did a 12 foot addition to the back of the studio. The set is being designed by BDI. CBS4 Traffic Anchor Justin Kollar may have just given us our first preview.
  3. WTTV is on a temporary set. It’s more like random walls decorated with stone, and a couple of newsroom shots. It’ll be interesting to see what Nexstar comes up with. The WTTV studio is SMALL. Prior to becoming CBS4, Studio B was home to Hoosier Lottery , which was shoved into a conference room.
  4. I’m not sure if they rent or not. But, it’s location makes a prime spot for a hotel. If they do own the building, I’m sure a developer is offering up some big money for it.
  5. The main Huntsville transmitters are on Monte Sano... located on the east side of Huntsville. Hytop is where the National Weather Service Radar is located. It's in a region called Sand Mountain. WAFF struggles in Sand Mountain, despite having a dedicated bureau to the area. But, people living in northeast Alabama have trouble picking up 48. They've worked in the past to boost their signal over there, but nothing seemed to help. WAFF's main transmitter sits the lowest on Monte Santo, which doesn't help with the signal issue in the mountainous areas east of Huntsville. I almost guarantee you this is another attempt to fix the problem.
  6. They dropped it when they rolled out the new graphics.
  7. It looks like a large-ish room in a convention center.
  8. It allows for better timing. GMA is incredibly focused on a high story count in the 7am hour.
  9. At least their bug is legible opaque. Some are not.
  10. Not sure how I feel about the names in the monitor.
  11. I agree. The previous Frankly sites (gasp) were much better than what they're leaving.
  12. I really wished it wouldn't swing around with the video bar in it. I'm not sure why, but it makes me sea-sick.
  13. Two thoughts on this package. The first is that it looks an interpretation of the the former WALA graphics; at least open anyway. The second being, it looks like something you can buy on VideoHive.
  14. I was completely thinking at.
  15. They can't. At least not yet. The stations were operated as one giant feed. Currently, there's no way to interrupt one station without broadcasting it to the entire country. At least that's what we were told.
  16. A number of Scripps stations are doing this.
  17. Sounds like WAFF is still using a mix between the Rock and INergy. Just pick a package.
  18. WRTV is now handily beating WISH and WTTV in the morning.
  19. I saw where Gray is upgrading the Raycom stations to VIZrt. That could be the reason behind the change.
  20. I actually don’t mind this one.
  21. It appears WWSB is getting a new set /update.
  22. I would be extremely shocked if they do. Making election graphics is extremely time consuming.
