1. CBSN Philly is now live - https://philadelphia.cbslocal.com/
2. It looks like the 6pm show has been reformatted as "The Six". I caught very little but did see the end of a sports discussion with Jason on the set, Tom Shred and their female sports anchor both on screens from elsewhere in the building. There was also a segment with Shaina and a web producer talking about a trending story in the newsroom (and shown entirely with that god-awful stutter/staggered video effect they love using during halftime breaks on Sundays). I also believe I saw a touch of the new graphics in use too (but still the old gfx time/temp bug).
3. It looks like the 11pm show is being rebroadcast again, this time at midnight on the zombie LiveWell 6.2. Previous rebroadcasts included the 10pm hour for WPHL being rebroadcast at midnight on 17.2, and the long-running 2am "encore presentation as a service for our late-night viewers" on 6. Glad to see it back!
4. It looks like WPVI in Philly will be splitting it (8am and 10am) and keeping their 9am hour of local news
5. Dray Clark is off the air indefinitely after being arrested and charged in a domestic assault incident
6. Per this Facebook post of hers, Katie Fehlinger is calling it quits (on her own accord). Her last day will be September 17th.
7. At least they're giving the interview segments a designated chunk of time on the back-end of the hour. Currently they typically split the hour with them somewhere around the middle mark (I'm watching Rosemary Connors interview Sally Struthers as I type)
8. Per TitanTV (and as mentioned somewhere else on this board regarding another O&O with an hour-long midday newscast), it looks like the 11am news is getting cut in half with something called "Philly Live" airing at 11:30 starting 9/9
9. Great work everyone! So I'm guessing they got a massive deal on a ton of shirts sometime in 2003-2004 and still have boxes upon boxes to hand out to the new folks
10. Something that's been bugging me forever... What logo is that on this polo? Did it ever exist anywhere outside these shirts?
11. And with the writing on the wall for the past few months, it's now official- Lucy Noland is leaving FOX29 May 30th Philly.com article
12. He's been France 24's White House correspondent for years and recently announced on twitter that he'd be reporting for the AP as well. I'm guessing the deal is something along the lines of the latter of what you said- France 24 is his primary employer (and AP affiliate) and while out and about around the world, he can file reports for the AP as well.
13. Because apparently she got the boot- Philly.com - Traffic reporter Jessica Boyington out at NBC10
14. Take into account that "Top 30" recently ended production so they have some wiggle room in the schedule. 6:30 has become one of the slots where FOX O&O's have done test runs in recent past. Maybe they're testing the waters for potentially pairing it with "25 Words Or Less" come fall somewhere on the schedule.
15. Shaina was introduced at the top of the 9am hour this morning on Good Day and is hanging at the desk for Valentines Day talk. She'll make her debut on the anchor desk at 6 & 11 starting next Monday
16. And that's a wrap on Iain Paige who will move on from WTXF at the end of the month after 6 years with the station http://www.philly.com/entertainment/tv/iain-page-leaves-fox--20190108.html Now if only they can somehow make Lucy exclusive to the 11pm show I might try watching their 10pm again
17. It looks like WTXF has launched a version of KSAZ's "News Now" rolling news stream on their Youtube page. I saw Steve Keeley post a screenshot from it yesterday and I believe they start streaming when Good Day ends at 10 with an undetermined end time based on the last few days' streams archived on the page. Actually, scrolling back on their YT page it appears this actually launched on July 11th. I stream Good Day every morning and have seen zero mention of this on-air or during breaks.
18. Yesterday was apparently Dave Schratwieser's last day. I didn't catch the evening shows to see if anything was done but he did stop by Good Day for a retrospective and look down memory lane
19. Dave Schratwieser looks to be hanging up his mic
20. As rumored, its a wrap on mornings with Meisha as of this coming Friday
21. Just you wait until their big Sheetz expose in the coming weeks...
22. Blowing in from the windy city's FOX 32 is Tammie Souza who will be handling "evening meteorologist" duties, which I guess means she'll be filling Sheena's shoes https://twitter.com/3KETalent/status/816782142847926272
23. Anybody but Josh Elliot! But this is a bummer (if true). One of the main reasons I watched was for Pelley's pacing. The last thing I'd want to see is another ABC hyperpaced viral video fest.
24. Things got... silly, last night, during the close
