1. While visiting NYC, Spencer had dinner on Saturday with another old friend and former WABC anchor...
2. This is the second weekend in a row Jeff Berardelli is filling in for Craig Allen.
3. The "Ro & Lori" ads have started appearing on NYC buses... https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DMc6wGtW0AEZ7-A.jpg
4. Adam Kuperstein started as the weekend co-anchor tonight at 6 and 11 pm with Jummy.
5. Emily Smith is on her honeymoon with actor Steve Guttenberg.
6. The prodigal weatherman returns! Raphael Miranda has tweeted that he'll be returning to work at WNBC starting Saturday, August 26.
7. Jen in again this weekend, with and without Gus. Where's the new hire. Jummy? And when does Raphael come back from his (seemingly endless) paternity leave?
8. Isn't Andy Adler leaving soon anyway to get married?
9. And yet that's exactly what Gus Rosendale has been doing the past few weekends, first with Jen Maxfield and now with Jummy - doing the morning show and then co-anchoring the 11 pm news.
10. The hockey mask-wearing "rapper" has turned himself in: http://gothamist.com/2017/03/07/hockey_mask_attack_reporter.php
11. Cefaan's attacker will no doubt be arrested today. He was stupid enough to post the video on his own Instagram account!
12. Bill Ritter tells his own story: http://abc7ny.com/society/bill-ritter-explains-why-hes-been-away-/1718649/
13. And he just won an Emmy, too! From his Facebook page: Friends, I wanted you to hear directly from me…it is true I won't be keeping my current show weekdays on MSNBC. My last show was Thursday. My colleagues are incredible people…and I am so proud of our team and our accomplishments. It is always a special blessing when co-workers become close friends and family. We achieved that bond and our hard work was recently honored by winning an Emmy in 2016 for Breaking News coverage of last year's Supreme Court decision on Marriage Equality. I can't thank my colleagues enough for years of their dedication to me and our show. Also, a BIG thanks to the viewers who've been supporters of our coverage at MSNBC. Hearing from you (whether positive or negative) is always an important thing for me. So what's next? Stay tuned! In the meantime, I am going to be spending the holidays with my husband and family. From our family to yours… Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays & Happy New Year, -Thomas
14. Have they named a replacement for Rob yet? I think it should be Laura, but no NY station has ever had a woman as their lead sportscaster, have they? For now, it probably will be Laura (with Anthony Johnson on weekends).
15. Kristine is sitting in on The Talk on Monday - and it's not a rerun, so I guess she won't be anchoring Monday afternoon.
16. So has WNBC officially cancelled the 7 pm COZI news? We're now going into the third week without it - I guess with them gearing up for the 4 pm, there's only so many hours they can produce in one day.
17. Stefan Holt filed what I think was his first on-camera report today. Close your eyes and he sounds exactly like his father: http://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/local/NYC-Residents-Face-Relocation-as-Train-Line-is-Renovated-376077191.html
18. Matt Kozar is leaving WCBS to become Director of Media for the Mount Sinai Hospital chain.
19. Has WNBC cancelled it's 7 pm news on COZI? It was on Wednesday as usual (anchored by Chris Glorioso) but not on Thursday and not on the schedule again for Friday? Or has the Pope's visit made a live newscast at 7 not practical?
20. CeFaan Kim, formerly of News 12 Westchester (and NY1 before that), officially joined last night. He flubbed his first ID as he finished his first live report on the 6, starting to say "News 12" before he caught and corrected himself. Good luck to him! https://twitter.com/CeFaanKim
21. Rob Schmitt was MIA all weekend, with Lynda Baquero (plus Sibila Vargas for the 11:00 Sunday) filling in, and not saying "Rob is out" or "on vacation". Has he been let go now that WNBC has hired another woman to work the weekend anchor desk?
22. As the sportscaster signed off at the end of the broadcast, he made some comment about "bearing with us through our difficulties". But nothing was ever said during the broadcast...
23. Why does Tom Llamas insist on SHOUTING his way thru the newscast? It's especially obvious right after a reporter has delivered their own piece live on set, he then comes ROARING back and raises the decibel level to an uncomfortable place...
24. Craig looks terrible with that grey beard he's growing. One hopes it's only for Movember, and will be gone at month's end...
25. Cindy, Elise and Steve were all back for the 9 pm WLNY broadcast and the 11 pm WCBS broadcast on Sunday.
