  1. Horrible, horrible news...and she was on her way to her stepdad's funeral. My God...
  2. Does any others station have the new Tegna graphics besides ABC 10 in Sacramento? I caught WWL having a new look in some of their news graphics tonight. Overall, they still have the same ole Tegna look.
  3. That would be messed up if true.
  4. April Dupre is the new traffic reporter for WWL. She began work this week.
  5. The following stations have switched to continuous coverage of Hurricane Nate as of today. * WKRG * WPMI * WLOX * WDSU * WWL/WUPL * WVUE * WGNO
  6. Raycom Media now has full ownership of WVUE. http://www.fox8live.com/story/36091663/raycom-media-completes-purchase-of-wvue-from-tom-benson
  7. Oh, that day is coming...trust me.
  8. Well, it wasn't on her own doing. Tegna didn't want her back...which is crazy to me.
  9. WWL's traffic reporter Tamica Lee has bounced from the station and is the new co-host of WGNO's "News With A Twist". LisaMarie Luminais (ugh) is her replacement. http://www.nola.com/tv/index.ssf/2017/05/tamica_lee_wwl_wgno_05052017.html#incart_river_index
  10. Charter/Spectrum serves Lafourche (also Vision Comm.), St. Tammany, Tangipahoa and Terrebonne parishes and Pearl River County, Miss. Washington Parish has Media3. St. Mary Parish has Cox. St. John Parish has RTC and Xfinity. Hancock County, Miss. has Mediacom. Pike County, Miss. has CableOne.
  11. He was a solid host on that show.
  12. Why didn't they give the gig to Ben Tanner a long time ago?
  13. How long before Meg Faris, Eric Paulsen and Sally-Ann Roberts call it a day?
  14. WAFB does this and airs "The Y & the R" at 4 pm...they've been doing this for years.
  15. All you had to do was click on my pic to see it full-sized.
  16. My parents moved to Louisiana in October 1984. I remember Channel 2. They had received a new set by then (bright blue/gray), but was still using that theme.
  17. WVUE has a new image campaign running just in time for February sweeps: Local First. They even modified their bug.
  18. Get a load of the multi-colored "4" logo in this clip of commercials from 1979. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=7EKuPEyHv4U;m=9;s=44
  19. So videoholic2000 created a few clips to commemorate Cleveland TV, with tributes to all market stations. My question is which station did a promo for the jingle used in the videos?
  20. Wouldn't surprise me if they combine those web sites.
  21. My guess? WJTV - MyMississippi.com; WHLT - MyPineBelt.com
  22. Personally, I doubt that. I think that was a Tegna move, since WWL's affiliation isn't up for renewal for a couple of years. SN: I thought they did the 7-9 am block from "The 504" set, but it's actually a new set.
  23. Man, I loved looking at that radar when I went to see relatives in Mississippi.
  24. WWL still beats both stations by a good margin, but that 7-9 am block will be interesting, especially during February sweeps. I suspect Tegna forced this change...the network had no problem all of these years.
