  1. The @CBS account hasn't posted a new tweet since Thursday night, so I can believe it applying to more than just the news division.
  2. And everyone at KSAZ breathes a sigh of relief.
  3. By virtue of being the largest media market, I would imagine.
  4. I hope that doesn't result in Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy being canceled.
  5. I wonder if Nexstar will change the network's name since it'll clearly be a very different beast from what it's been. Then again, we live in a world where BBC America mostly shows American movies and cop shows and the Travel Channel mostly shows shows about ghosts, so...
  6. Except, of course, that it won't be called Peacock. It'll be called NBC. (Okay, maybe NBC+.)
  7. If NBC wants to make this move work, they'll need to start putting new shows on Saturday nights again and not just use it for repeats and Dateline.
  8. A better question: 3. When do we think they'll blow up HLN and turn it into something that isn't 79% true crime shows?
  9. The only Tegna stations I can see any of the networks being interested in are those in the largest markets -- WFAA, KHOU, WUSA, and WXIA.
  10. *reads the article* Mmmm... Someone's feeling desperate. Another option: Be acquired by Hearst and also shove Soo Kim and Standard General to the curb. (That said, Tegna may be too big for Hearst to absorb even after divesting stations in conflict markets.)
  11. So the FCC has to be okay with this merger and all its issues just because Soo Kim isn't white? I don't think that's how it works...
  12. They would just have to get creative -- starting with using more of the 52 weeks in a year.
  13. I can't help but think that maybe NBC should test the waters on one or two nights of the week before committing to this big a change for all seven nights. Friday and Saturday nights would be a good place to start.
  14. This sounds like a big opportunity for professional soccer (y'know, what most of the world calls football), rugby, lacrosse, field hockey, volleyball, swimming, basket weaving, etc.
  15. That would've been one hell of a twist, though.
  16. Here's a thought: If the news branding is "Atlanta News First", why not have the station's overall branding be "ANF"? I mean, no one refers to CNN as "Cable News Network" these days...
  17. WBBH and WZVN are still in "team-up" mode, with both live streams available via YouTube, but WZVN's stream has a banner at its bottom with "For local coverage tune into Sunny 106.3, 96 Krock (96.1), B103.9, ESPN SWFL (98.1)".
  18. Here's a screenshot for posterity:
  19. The shame was what it was turned into.
  20. Better question: Does anyone actually care?
