  1. There you go. Though considering that WFXT was supposed to go to Standard Media as part of the Standardization of Tegna, I have to wonder how long CMG will keep it...
  2. I hate to be the cynical one, but I think a screenshot from the M&DP's website can show what this is likely really about. First, I'll note that there's a modal/overlay box on their homepage that says this: The words "Join the movement" (emphasis mine) link to their "join us" page, which currently includes this: This is most likely just a publicity stunt to increase donations. We've seen it before. Anyone remember the Parents Television Council? They loved to try make people think network executives were personally adding sex, drugs, foul language, etc. to shows, but in reality the PTC was more interested in raking in the money. This is basically the same thing. Besides, what's the worst that's going to happen? If absolutely necessary, Fox will sell WTXF to Nexstar or Gray or another company and establish a lengthy affiliation agreement. That's it.
  3. There's a CNN Philippines? I didn't know that. ... Huh. There's also channels for Brazil, Chile, Turkey, India, Indonesia, Japan, the Czech Republic, Albania, Romania, and Portugal. Guess I should've paid more attention to the Wikipedia page. I'm surprised there aren't country-specific channels for Australia and New Zealand. Is Sky News that dominant there?
  4. It'll be interesting to see what WBBH's website looks like when it gets relaunched. Hearst's station sites are due for a redesign. It's a shame Waterman sold WVIR a few years ago; Hearst could've acquired that station, too.
  5. That's news. I assume the rumor popped up while everyone was worrying about TCM.
  6. Any bets on how long it takes Watters to become radioactive? That's not just Carlson's old timeslot -- it's O'Reilly's, too.
  7. I didn't like the clock being on the left; having it on the right is pretty much the industry standard, at least here in the US. It'd be like having the website logo on the right.
  8. Well, it's a step up from NotMy.

I assume that's so that WHDH's anchors and reporters are who viewers see on-screen. Did they have to bring their own equipment (cameras, mics, vehicle, etc.)?

I noticed that WHDH is covering Trump's arraignment in Miami. Anyone know if it's a straight simulcast of WSVN?

I'm not entirely sure about that. It looks like CBN has a fairly well-developed streaming video service that's on multiple platforms, but it's hard to find any info about watching The 700 Club on broadcast or cable. In fact, I've only been able to find two mentions of Freeform -- one on the media kit page for the show, the other on a page that looks like it's not actively part of the site. As for broadcast stations, I think that's just TBN, where it airs mid-afternoon. I got the distinct feeling that CBN has minimized its dependency on Freeform, thus leaving the door open to leaving the channel. Which makes me wonder if Robertson himself was the main reason the show was still there. Basically, I could see Disney paying CBN a not insignificant amount of money sometime in the next year to leave Freeform -- or at least drop one or two of the three airings.
  12. Zaslav was doing the micromanaging, correct?
  13. "More on that story just as soon as this logo gets out of my way." This makes me wish the main part of the L3 was in white-on-red.
  14. I'm sure someone's fiancé does.
  15. I'll be interested in seeing if WBBH gets the current standard Hearst TV station website design, which is several years old now, or if the company is planning on using them to launch a new design.
  16. Also missing: Local stations. Not everyone can get their local stations with an antenna...
  17. In that c In that case, I'd like to know its opinion of the ownership situations in Lima, OH, and Victoria, TX.
  18. You're confusing the amount of storage space and the length of time any given program can be kept on the DVR. Unless, of course, you really do want to record 8,760 hours of content and not watch any of it till summer of next year. (Is fast-forwarding through commercials that enjoyable?) 20 hours has proven to be plenty for me, though I don't watch much linear TV these days.
  19. Heck, PBS imports British shows all the time. Masterpiece is one giant umbrella for dramas from over there.
  20. No one said these imports wouldn't already be in English.
  21. At the very least, I can see Cox putting WFXT (which they were going to send to SG) up for sale.
