  1. This should also be mentioned that this will be the first time since 1990 that Greg Gumbel will not be a part of the NFL coverage. This was announced back in the spring. He'll remain the studio host of the NCAA March Madness coverage.
  2. Nexstar has completed the WSNN sale, as of Thursday (7/20).
  3. There will be callsign changes in Pittsburgh & in San Francisco come September 1st. WPCW > WPKD-TV KBCW > KPYX
  4. Don't Dateline and 20/20 already have two-hour broadcasts?!
  5. This definitely came from the Bally contract they ended up voided earlier this year.
  6. It's 12:43am/ET. And I can't believe that Fox 5 is doing a live late newscast after the All-Star game. They usually "pre-tape" a one half-hour show after the game when it goes past 11pm. Are they doing this for sweeps?......
  7. Station just pulled out a release. Traffic anchor Sarah Jindra and Daytime Chicago fill-in host Ji Suk Yi will host this new hourly show.
  8. A couple of things. WFVX-LD has completed its transition last week (6/30), leaving RF 22 and now channel-sharing with WVII on RF 7. This clears the way for PBS outlet WMEB to move to from VHF 9 to UHF 22. Also, three R&Os & one NPRM. R&Os: KCBY (11 > 34) KCFW (9 > 17) KENV (10 > 20) - (7/19) NPRM: WKNX (7 > 21) - (7/20)
  9. KFSN airs WNT at their normal time @ 5:30 (like KGO).
  10. Well its a dawn of brand new day at WBBH. Hearst completed its acquisition of the station yesterday (6/30). The now-former owners slipped a goodbye message to its Southwest Florida viewers. Bye-Bye Waterman. RIP Bernie.
  11. Last month, WAVY demolished their former set (debuted back in 2016). They're currently anchoring from a temp set behind a chroma key. Let me add this tidbit. Their last two sets debuted on July 21 (2008 & 2016). Could this happen for a third time?.....
  12. Just saw this license to cover, but apparently (since the end of last month) KTUL has lit up RF 14. The station has reminded viewers to rescan today (6/27). That means that grace period for keeping VHF 10 on will end today. Staying with Sinclair, Nebraska's KHGI is a step closer to lighting up its UHF 18 signal. They recently installed its new antenna.
  13. Advocacy groups American TV Alliance & NCTA filed an informal objections (not Petitions to Deny) to the FCC over the WADL deal. They're basically saying Mission is buying the station on behalf of Nexstar. And that (in their eyes) violates the national ownership cap.
  14. Y'all don't have to worry about a switch in Atlanta. WANF will stay as a CBS affiliate. Gray has renewed its CBS deal in all of its 54 markets.
  15. It's been a minute. But two new petitions today. One, Gray has filed a petition to switch another one of its newly-acquired stations from last year's auction from VHF to UHF. KWNV in Winnemucca, NV is vacating VHF 7 for UHF 16. Previously, Gray filed to switch its Yuma signal from VHF 11 to UHF 27. The other, NPG has filed to switch Idaho Falls station KIFI from VHF 8 to UHF 18.
  16. And we're going to come back in a few months to do another "retooling"...... How they can maintain stability when they constantly shuffling their on-air talent around?
  17. The KCBA deal was finally consummated this week (6/5).
  18. Is this the forrmer CBSN New York set (sans that brickwall set up in the background)?
  19. Okay. Here's the paperwork. It includes a pre-closing LMA (which is now in effect as of June 1).
  20. Follow up regarding KTRK. It's Gina that's leaving the 10. She staying on the 6. She made the announcement earlier tonight.
  21. Looks like KOVR just switched.....
  22. And Big Bump. Gray has now filed that lawsuit to the 11th Circuit over that fine.
  23. I really think Tegna needs to lay low on any future M&A takeovers for a good while.
  24. While one big M&A was terminated last night, another deal is about to reach the finish line...... Nearly seven weeks after filing the paperwork, the FCC has greenlighted this WBBH deal.
  25. From that press release: That $136M Standard General has to pay up won't be enough. I hope Tegna file suit to get every penny owed. Shareholders better file their own suit too.
