  1. Bill mentioned two sports anchors were on vacation and the other was out sick, so Mike Marza, who is anchoring in the morning, was in to do the sports report.
  2. Same for this evening. Not COVID related as he was at charity event in Central Park on Saturday. https://abc7ny.com/central-park-yai-event-young-adult-institute-challenge-bill-ritter-new-york-city/11928235/
  3. Noticed Johny Fernandez reporting from Long Island. Is he a recent hire?
  4. The morning newscast is using the same area of the studio.
  5. Sometimes when an anchor is off for the week, they have Jen Maxfield sub. Darlene was off Monday-Tuesday and returned this morning.
  6. Thanks. Today they resumed using the video wall for weather and traffic reports.
  7. Today in New York did not start until 4:07 AM. There was no mention from the anchors of the delayed start. The lower thirds were not displaying and they were not using the graphics for the news intro and tease before the commercial breaks. The other graphs were working. At 4:35 AM they were able to get the lower thirds working. They’ve been using a two shot of the anchors at the desk.
  8. Noticed last and this week they have not been using the video wall in the interview area of the studio for weather or traffic reports. Anyone know if they are doing any updates to that area of the studio?
  9. The anchors are back at the desk.
  10. Newly renovated part of the PIX11 studio, which I believe is used by Dan Abrams for his NewsNation show, is now being used by PIX11 for traffic reports.

  12. Lulu Gomez is the new morning traffic reporter. https://www.instagram.com/p/CdPJWDsAsz1/
  13. I've noticed WABC using the video wall behind the anchors to display graphics. That's from last week. Today they had Eyewitness News at Noon behind them.
  14. Violeta Yas from NBC10 and Telemundo 62 in Philly is doing weather this morning.
  15. No changes due to the raise in COVID level. They did change the 4am newscast start from everyone standing to having the anchors and traffic reporter sitting at the desk.
  16. Is this related to the city raising the COVID alert level or is there working being done in the studio?
  17. FiOS Guide data error for WABC shows the newscast of WXYZ in Detroit on at 7pm.
  18. They added a new video wall which they use in addition to the green screen wall.
