So the station that has consistently been in the crapper is getting a new set before KDFW and WNYW- two stations that are doing 1000x better than WFLD. Go figure.

Renee mentioned on Twitter that she expects to be back at the end of this month. Thing is she said the same thing back in Oct/Nov. Interesting bit that they hired Kalyna to do only traffic and not the live center, so if Renee comes back, they'll have 5 people on the morning news. Too much, considering they're not winning the time slots. As for Marie, hard to say what the deal is with her situation. I do remember reading that the tree hit her basically square in the head (something like you would see in the cartoons, if you can imagine it), which led to her vertebrae being squashed. With those types of injuries, she's going to have permanent damage... sad to say. Will she be able to one day come back and work in the same capacity? who knows, but like you said, both sides are screwed. And clearly they moved on from her since they hired a replacement that basically looks like a younger Marie Coronel... Mimi Elkhalla.

Speaking of Marie. Is she coming back? It's coming up on a year since her accident, and I doubt that any workman's comp/disability will last her that long. Plus she's still tweeting from her 10news Twitter account. Same goes for Renee Nelson, she's been gone since September, very little about her situation--other than illness.

Which ex-journal stations are due for the Scripps gfx? And a new package could take months if not a year more to be rolled out groupwide, so at least they'll have this look for a while.

Looks like KNSD has expanded their midday news to 1 full hour from 11am-12pm. Access Hollywood has been relegated to the overnight hours.

If they're interested in going/keeping the "liberal actress" spot on the show, then they should consider Eva Longoria. She did really well as a guest on the show during the summer. Sherri moved back to LA a few months ago, so she might not be willing to move back to NYC so soon.

She may have created it, but no way in hell does she control it. The Chen-bot runs everything on that program, despite the "creator" sitting a few feet away from her. And even then, today's "The Talk" is not the same Talk that debuted 6 years ago. In regards to the game shows... I'm sure extensive research has been done by ABC showing the pitfalls of replacing one of their current daytime shows with a gameshow. If the research had concluded that putting in a game show would result in higher ratings/profit for the network, then they would have put one in a long time ago. So clearly, despite some posters wishful thinking, ABC will not be doing it anytime soon. Same goes with soaps. Also, the costs associated with producing them is a no-no, especially to a network looking to cut costs, not to add more.

I doubt Redstone can last that long...

How shocking. I was hoping that Whoopi or Joy would call her out on air before they left on break, but they probably were told to stay quiet. This isn't the first time she's brought up Barbara wanting to come back and fix the show... As for her... does she conveniently forget all those rumors on her when she was still on the Early Show??? How she was hard to work with, etc.??? Where would she be at if she wasn't boning Moonves? Definitely not on The View...
