  1. I was just wondering if this was a part of paramount global cuts? I know their cutting and firing people all across the organization.

They should have let Dana bow out gracefully than throwing a bone and give her. Any changes that needed to be made would be the morning team. Chris and Mary are bland. Yes they are good anchors but bland for a morning news team.

In Pablo's lovely tribute package they said and showed him anchoring with Cindy Hsu. It had a 6:30 time stamp so I'm guessing AM and weekend since Cindy was in the clip. Anyone recall that pairing? It must have been in the early 2010s based on graphics.

As I can remember, during the News 2 era, and when Cindy Hsu co anchor Kendra Farn became a field reporter, I remembered he anchored with her briefly.

Keep Judge Judy at 4! Then again how long can a daily syndicated  show remain popular in reruns only.

I think hot bench would be a good spot at 4pm, one of Judge Judy creation.

Craig said today (on Instagram) that he will be reporting, not anchoring.

Reading between the lines on social media, it looks as if Kala is leaving PIX. Just speculation at this point.

On Facebook, it states Craig and Kala will be reporting and they will be the filling anchors weeknights.

CBS 2 News at Noon is back today, with Dana Tyler anchoring from the CBSN New York studio and Elise Finch with weather from her home. I missed the beginning so I’m not sure if Dana said she was in for Chris and Mary.

Dana anchored again at noon yesterday. She didn't say she was in for Chris and Mary. I know at the end of the 6pm newscast, she said see you tomorrow at noon and at 6pm.

I don't know who is hiring or scheduling the on-air talent on WCBS, but it seems they have a look that they go for, especially for their female anchors other than Kristine, Dana and Cindy. The female anchors they choose look like plastic dolls with no sign of personality/chemistry at all: Alice Gainer, Jessica Moore, Alex Denis.

And I  thought I was the only one that was thinking that way.

  7. Because I didn't like the way he things he said about Suki and things the PIX execs are running things.

Sure, you don't like her, and you don't have to like her, and no one has to force anyone to like what they don't; it just that I really don't like it when anyone talks about her like she's revolting. Sure she's not the best journalist in the market, but how everyone treats her like she's the worst journalist in any market, or even all of TV, just angers me.

And what I said was wrong. And he doesn't deserve the words I gave to him. I apologize deeply.

I was a rooting fan of Suki from her days as a reporter from CBS2. If I said anything that offended you, I will also apologize.

  8. Please read Dabx's comment over NY Weather and you get the clear and honest reason why Dan and Marysol at 4-6 isn't working, sadly.

No one but me on the PC and a few thousand others are watching. Barely reaches the scale. Plus Suki and Kori recently rose in ratings. People were watching at that timeslot.

And cbs2idiots, stay classy, you jackhole. Just like the rest of them.

I am not going to stoop to your level. I gave my opinion and I am entitled to it.

  9. If people aren't already watching Suki and Kori from 6am to 9am, what makes them think that people will watch them at 5am. If a tornado should hit PIX, and takes it off its foundation, Suki would still keep her chair. PIX's made a lot of changes to their anchor line up even removing veteran Kaity Tong from her long held 10pm spot, but for some reason they keep Suki.

  10.

The only way they will keep her on as a weekday anchor is if they drop Chris and Marie at noon and have Dana solo at noon and 6 they aren't going to keep her just for the 6 pm slot.

Dana has been regulated only to the 6pm newscast many times. The last time she only anchored the 6pm was last year July only this time she is the sole anchor of that newscast which makes a lot of sense. Maybe because of a lighter workload her contract probably was reworked to anchor some Sunday night newscasts in addition to her other duties. Dana is versatile and I believe CBS2 would keep her in some kind of capacity. I would probably be worried if they took her off the 6pm and regulated her only to the WLNY News at 9 which is struggling to make a mark on the ratings chart.

  11. I would definitely drop CBS2 News if they decide to let go Dana but again she is always the comeback kid. She is faithful and dependable while others come and go. Hopefully when she does leave it will be on her own terms.
