  2. Already seems to be a show distended to be aired on a MyTv affiliate at 3am and we'll call it a day

  3. It's not their best look, and it's not the best thing to come out of Linear Drift. But it's manageable, and it certainly refreshes from an out-of-place and outdated old KOIN "arrows" package they were using. Given the station's history when it comes to creative services choices, I'd say this is pretty refreshing. It's not as jarring as that old gray/purple/navy blue look with the abrasive serif font and the lightning bolts they had about a decade ago. Even the sharpness and red applied to the old Young HD graphics. Like if a station was going for graphics that screams brutal murder, WRIC has a history. I can understand slightly the hate for the old 8 logo, it was kind of scary and jarring looking, very sharp like razor blades. But it was unique, very unique. What they use now and have used for a few years now isn't, it's very uninspiring. But to be honest, these new graphics are the first time I can look at WRIC and not be scared shitless by graphics, and that's like for the first time EVER, in over 30 years. Heck, even the animation of the open in the last package it replaced was too jarring. Now, it seems the station is finally starting to soften up it's longstanding "guy hiding in a dark corner with a knife and a menacing smile" image that they seemed to have had for a long time. And if you don't agree with me: (Why is the transition sharp razor blades?!)

  4. I'll give RTM this; when every talk show was a bomb right out of the gate in the mid-10s, it helped Disney figure out what to do with 3pm after FABLife laid a rotten egg before they could sign Tamron; it's saved many a timeslot, and for many stations, it kept the lights on where a newscast couldn't or a court show/advertorial would look low-rent. But it was always a transitional program between bringing viral videos to a wide audience before they most viewers just knew where to seek them online without the handholding, making it superfluous.

  5. CBS Miami has been using these transitions for a while now. I believe it started when CBS News Miami launched or just a bit before.

  7. If Y&R and B&B are cancelled and CBS gives the time to the affiliates, WBTV might basically be one.

  9. Yes I remember Right This Minute being paired with America Now on Raycom stations in 2011. When I was living in Biloxi, WLOX went big on America Now when it first launched and then added Right This Minute when they launched their CBS subchannel in 2012. I wasn’t a fan, I thought it was ridiculous to watch a bunch of people sitting at a table critiquing YouTube videos.

  11. Bring back WB if it’s Warner or UPN if it’s Paramount.

  12. What I don't understand is, with people cutting the cord on cable, why put all of your chips into the cable basket? Doesn't that make about as much sense as selling ski parkas in Florida?

  13. Honestly, RTM doesn't serve a purpose now that TikTok is a thing. Same can be said for Tegna's Daily Blast LIVE, but one thing is for sure, it's damn good filler content.

  14. Surprisngly no appearence from Wendy Williams on her final show, not even a recorded message. Will all thse shows going away I wonder how much longer daytime dramas can hang on for, especially with Y&R and GH celebrating their 50th and 60th anniversaries repsecitively in 2023
