I'd argue the look of CBS News (streaming) is a better implementation than what's on network, outside of some minor nitpicks - IMO, the logo bug is too big, the little programming indicator is too small. I think if they adjusted it so that the programming indicator was within the box, it would help, and they could go back to what they have now when the programming isn't live. Example:

I love this new look of the streaming network. The graphics look simple but great, the new music sounds amazing and the set looks fantastic (and the desk finally has a regular home). This whole new look is very well done and better than both ABC and NBC by far.

Good old WNEP. For all of the love the music gets across Northeastern and ALL of Central Pennsylvania... They still get the callers who can't stand when the lottery numbers come on...

As of this writing, WJMN is now gone from YouTube TV, as-is the generic feed of CBS they had up the past few days, with WZMQ now available on that platform.

Here's a WRGB newscast from 1983, when it was a CBS affiliate. It uses the same theme as KOA-TV (now KCNC) in Denver and WNGE (now WKRN) in Nashville had around.

Wow. I'm not as up to speed as a lot of the members of this board, but how many total people are watching this newscast on the #4 station in market #180? And, this is the same station owner that for years has done a news & weather cast for the Caribbean from Erie. This is the home of the weatherman with the toucan. Doing news remotely for Marquette from Erie should be a breeze! They'll just hire a Marquette-based reporter or two, buy enough equipment to get by, and do the rest of the newscast from Erie. That clip, for what it was, isn't half bad. They had one report on compulsive gambling in PA and a local report via Zoom on redevelopment of a park.

Lori came back and then was gone for a week or so again. What was odd was that they replaced her with Teresa Priolo (which, like Kayla in the AM, is fine with me) and Teresa did the 6pm newscast instead of having a regular like Steve Lacey do it. Yesterday, when Steve was out, but Lori was back, she's anchoring 5pm solo with no sub (but maybe it was a last minute thing since he was back on Tuesday). Between that and the 6am hour, strange stuff going on at WNYW.

Don’t forget Jane Pauley (Sunday Morning) and Deborah Norville (Inside Edition, part of CBS’s production arm).

The KDKA black and gold is the best looking that I've seen so far amongst the CBS O&Os. It's a departure from the usual blue or white box look on most TV news casts. That being said it would look nice if each individual CBS affiliate could have their own tweaks to the standard graphics package for individuality. As for the CBS News streaming graphics, it's the typical white box flatness, but it works nonetheless. really digging the textured world map element to the CBS News Mornings orange package. Overall the rebrand works though I thought they'd call it something like "CBS News+" to distinguish the national streaming feed from the TV network.

Recall that Khemlani's charge was to cut costs across the division. It would not surprise me if this were a sly but effective tactic by CBS in Norah's contract renegotiation to suggest to her that she is dispensable, in an effort to counter her request for more money.

But with everyone having wx apps on their phone which are more accurate for the temp thanks to location tracking etc, is time/temp really necessary on the screen? Or in the days of cleaner, simpler looks is it just clutter that can be jettisoned?

The only graphical changes to the CBS News locals today were a new title card and logo. Otherwise, it’s still the core 2018 CBSN Local package. Any new graphics will debut on the O&Os and the streaming platforms simultaneously.

The changes brought CBSN very much in line with the extensive visual and brand rebrand that CBS News has gone through in recent times. It continues to tie so many of their brands together. Because of branding conflicts with stations that already have the First Alert branding, I do not believe so.

CBSN is now CBS News.

All the stations have rebranded the CBSN names to CBS News (then city or state) but no new graphics.

Sacramento & Boston are live with the new logo. I guess we can expect the rest of the O&O’s to start tomorrow, can’t wait to see CBS News in the new Studio 57!

The proposed non-standard news branding reminds me of WFTS-TV 28 "ABC Action News" in Tampa, Florida.

Hopefully, we will see this graphics package transfer to the O&Os. I can't wait to see what the CBS eye could look like in the black and yellow KDKA-TV package. The New Streaming Station logos look good though. Here is CBS News Pittsburgh.

I just checked KOVR's live stream. The O&O graphics have not changed.
