KTVT doesn't have anything, not even time and temp. Hopefully they'll fix that.

No, they didn't. The package they're using is 5 years old. They keep intermixing that with graphics from the 2013 package and the CBSN package. It's a branding mess. It shows your audience that you are unorganized and as it bleeds into the journalism, the audience senses that the stations aren't doing their best coverage.

Tell that to KFMB. They’ve been running a news ticker on its newscasts since July of 2001 when they did that 5 year stint rebrand to “Local 8 News.” also I think that station logo insert in the ticker is such wasted space with that big gap. At least shrink it.

Sorry if someone already covered this... But in today's NOT hard news, "Tony and Nate's Excellent Adventure" took a tour of Times Square and CBS seems to have no problem recognizing who's turf they're on. They even tried to bring GMA a fruit basket and cake...

To no surprise, the Morning News also has a new look and sound similar to Mornings -- along with a much shorter intro. The former's refresh debuted the day after the latter's debut. It too looks amazing.

I guess the difference is in the branding of the shows - Fox & Friends doesn’t advertise themselves as being in Rockefeller Center although their building technically is. GMA has been the morning show of Times Square for 20+ years, it’s a core piece of their identity.

Given that the TS studio(s)/offices were not being fully utilized, as of late; moving the morning show there makes sense. They probably would have moved CBSEN there if it was still based in NYC.

After they've spent years re-integrating Viacom back into the fold, I don't see that happening.

Titan TV and zap2it sometimes differ. We’ll see.

gotcha -- would this explain why WFOR and WJW hasn't switched or "blended" what other stations have been using??

CBS affiliate AM crawls are all inserted locally with a "suggested" font only. In addition, morning tickers aren't mandatory and some stations may not have the equipment to put them to air or properly trigger them. Stations were literally sent a PNG base file with font sizes and logo positioning.

From what I can read on most of their posts on Facebook, the new format of the show is not very well liked. Lots of bad reviews...

Rachel Coulter joins WBTV from WLBT. Right now she will be on in the mornings. Al Conklin says she is helping out. They will apparently roll with two meteorologists in the mornings but I’m thinking Al becomes Chief Meteorologist when Eric Thomas retires and Rachel takes over permanently in the mornings. They don’t need two meteorologists in the morning. They seem to have hired a good one.

This package and the opens made their debut in April 2016. The O&O look would usually get redone every three years, though since 2010 it's been more evolution than revolution. Nothing in quite a while. The weather graphics got a refresh about a year and a half ago; they reflect the CBSN local streams. They might not change a thing, not worth the trouble and the expense, but on the other hand since the stations group and CBS News have merged, they might go in an entirely different branding direction.

I came THIS CLOSE to rechristening the thread as CBS Early This Mornings News Show. Oh, and the lower thirds suck. The rest of everything is solid.

Here’s our first look at the updates to 1A. It is more of cosmetic updates than anything else. New desk, flooring, and other elements throughout. The curved video wall and big weather screen (added after the election) are still there.

Looks more like the old Vagisil logo to me.

Adding more things to this. I’m getting ready to work at an CBS O&O KTVT 11 Dallas/ Fort Worth. They are preparing for these new graphics and from what I’m hearing a possible new set.

Is Kelly Clarkson's show not popular? I see WPXI in Pittsburgh is moving her to 3AM. For awhile it seemed like Ch 11 wasn't going to air the Judge Judy repeats (they always won 4pm) but it seems like they chickened out and will carry the repeats at 3pm moving Days to 1, its been at 3pm here since the mid 90s.
