  1. I believe the response says that Gray moved CBS to the LD after meeting with FCC staff. It’s close to guaranteed that Gray won’t pay the $500K fine. This will eventually end up in a federal courtroom, where the FCC has a terrible track record. Gray will end up paying nothing or a tiny fraction of the original fined amount.

  2. Maybe they didn't have anyone else to take the slot, and he volunteered to switch? Especially if Ken is working Monday morning. Lauren worked last night, but she posted on IG from Fire Island today.

  4. Speaking of Headline News, the audio portion of the channel (not to be confused with short, custom-produced "CNN Radio" newscasts) was simulcast by a number of radio stations. Here's a commercial for one of them, KNNS ("K-News") in Phoenix:

  5. There's a strange To Be Announced block on KCYU (Fox) in the 1:00 hour beginning 9/13. Maybe we'll get You Bet Your Life after all? Hoping..... Albeit, KIMA seems to be keeping Judge Judy reruns at the noon timeslot and the 4:00 hour, at least through 9/20.

  6. Seems like WATN could replace 25 Words or Less with it at 9am and put that on WLMT but what do I know.

  8. Looks like the 7 Action News logo is staying the same with the new WXYZ (Detroit) logo. Just a slight modification to fit the new ABC logo.

  12. I'm pretty sure they commissioned that look before anyone else. Here's how it looked in 1992, about a month after they moved into their current building:

  13. This is the same market that doesn't have Barrymore or Rachael Ray and is just now getting Oz back on the very station that dropped it. One would think WLMT would have been competent enough to run more than just trash talk repeats all day but it's whatever.
