  1. I think they'd do better to air the Judge Judy reruns. This just adds a fifth 4:00 newscast...

  2. It's boring with the same people on every newscast. I always liked how ABC 7 had different co-anchors on each newscast in the past years when I used to watch. All these stations have less programming and all newscasts, it's no wonder ratings are down and people don't care about watching local channels much anymore other than needing them to watch network programs in their area.

  3. The anchors at WNYW control the teleprompter themselves with a remote, which would probably screw with anyone's delivery.

  4. And despite Lori being a really nice and genuine broadcaster, Sade is much more polished in her presenting style. I don’t remember Lori being as woeful reading the news at channel 7 as she is at 5. It must be something in the air at Fox.

  6. That's because he wants much of the viewership to be from the always dwindling ammount of cable subscribers. Basically, he's acting like Randy Marsh in that South Park episode when he bought the town's Blockbuster store....

  8. As said in the other thread, I'd be surprised if Tamron Hall doesn't replace it. They are either one of the only or the only ABC O&O that doesn't carry the show.

  9. What kind of shop are they running at The Doctors? This is like the third host to sue over the years...

  10. Last month, GMA senior EP Michael Corn abruptly left ABC after getting passed over for the top job in the news division. Instead, he'll be the new leader at Nexstar's Chicago-based NewsNation network. https://www.robertfeder.com/2021/05/17/nexstar-hires-former-abc-news-exec-michael-corn-run-newsnation/

  11. Per a longtime WMAQ employee that I talked to several years ago when I was touring the station with then-ad manager Joe Gerzema (now at FOX Sports Detroit), the WMAQ 1997 news theme from the Cheatwood era was, indeed, a Gari package. The package name was the nondescript "WMAQ Custom News Package". I submitted that factoid to the NMSA eons ago, but they never corrected it.
