They also act like Ann Curry and Deborah Norville no longer exist. I doubt that Matt will be involved with any event pertaining to the Torah show. I guess Meredith doesn’t care for what he was accused of doing. I think it would be quite awkward and even wrong to expect people who testified against him to be in the same room as him for a celebration. Apparently it was also a dislike on the part of NBC and the Today Show that he was even able to get away with as much as he did. They probably want to forget about it.

Today is not reluctant to remove personalities from their history as we’ve already seen on a number of occasions. I imagine Matt will not be involved at all in any Today history moving forward. I mean he and Meredith don’t even speak anymore following the allegations, I don’t see how they awkwardly put him in a room full of colleagues that have testified against him.

I don’t expect him to be invited to the Today Shows 70th Anniversary Celebration in 2022 if we are back to “normal” by then.

Nexstar Media Group is combining its broadcasting and digital subsidiaries as Nexstar Inc. to “drive synergies, create operational efficiencies, reduce expenses and enhance financial results.” Timothy C. Busch becomes president, broadcasting; the digital business unit will be led by Karen Brophy; and Sean Compton will be president, networks, overseeing WGN America, AntennaTV and WGN Radio.

I’ve seen that one around. The color peacock is back. Noticed this one around the other day too. Wonder what they will do with the set... Add a skyline shot? They've been using the current graphics that are nice and colorful.

Maybe if Zucker leaves, maybe the new CEO will fix all the problems he created.

This was the original stated purpose of NewsNet. The original concept seemed to hope that affiliates would start their own small local news departments, that would insert 5 minutes of local news twice an hour. But, surprise, very few stations actually did that. Most stations ended up being low-power stations with 10 other "throwaway" networks that just ran NewsNet national and collected whatever tiny amount of ad revenue they could. The new model seems to be convincing stations to replace most of their existing local news departments with an hour of the NewsNet feed with a few minutes of local news sprinkled on top. What that tells me is the original concept is a failure, and they're now moving on to Plan B. They have to make this work. Eric Wotila is riding the already-in-freefall rollercoaster that is local TV news, and is now working on pulling out the brakes.

Longtime anchor Joel Daly, passed away this morning at the age of 86.
