  1. According to their website, KOAA is launching a 4 p.m. newscast on Monday. Looks like the new graphics in the background in this banner. If I was a betting man, I’d put my money that the new graphics launch on Monday with this newscast.

  2. CBS and Fox News Channel have had a content share agreement for a while. It's just not very often used, and when it is, it's usually transparent to the end viewer. For example, a Fox News satellite truck may uplink live signals for both FOX and CBS. Additionally, WFLD, WBBM, WGN, and WMAQ have had a news share agreement in place since 2009. I know everyone on here likes to think there's all this in-fighting behind the scenes between stations like a scene out of Anchorman. That couldn't be further from reality. Stations share content with each other all the time and work together frequently, regardless of affiliation or ownership groups, and this has been going on since TV started.

  3. I get that they're in a "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" mode but the desk really clashes with the rest of the studio design.

  4. The 2012 theme remains for the headline cue, but gels very well with the GORGEOUS open. All other graphics are the largely the same and 4:3 safe, but they've moved the old desk out of the closest and they're finally on the new set. The environment looks so similar to the old look, the untrained eye wouldn't know it's TV3.

  5. It's like they've preserved the fonts from the Limerick package and merge it with the WMC pack. It's better than the overly-used Helvetica. Talk about uniqueness.

  6. New station: WBRC. It's a red-gray-white version of the WMC graphics.

  7. I noticed how it's now referred to as "World News Tonight" rather than "ABC World News Tonight", as it used to be years ago.

  8. Gray is launching 4:00 news on KVLY 11.2 (CBS/KX4) Fargo today. Displaces Judge Judy (Which already gets an hour earlier in the day on 11.1/NBC) Not the first 4:00 for the market- WDAY/ABC has had news in the timeslot for a couple of years now.

  9. I do agree with you but I posted it because it kinda looked like those full screen graphics that have the CBSN look to them.

  10. That's their Investigative unit package. They've had it for a while. From what I've heard from people "in the know": -The weather graphics were only changed to the CBSN local package because most stations don't have the resources to maintain two looks. -Any plans for new graphics are indefinitely on hold due to the Viacom takeover and COVID. I'm considering closing this thread, it's becoming a "graphics speculation" thread where people just point out any random oddity as a "sign" of new graphics.

  11. I think maybe aside from the "Possible PG&E Shutoffs," nothing else looks really new? See the similar recent example from CBS Chicago below, which has also already implemented CBSN. I wouldn't hold my breath on anything genuinely new for their on-air newscasts -- probably going to have to wait until maybe next year or even the year after.

  12. "Feud" is going to WGBA. Expanding the 4PM show isn't too surprising to me; WFRV's 4PM is also 1 hour. The 9A is interesting, though.....
