WGNA has been available on Xfinity, RCN, and WOW's Chicago systems since 2014. The show will be on WGNA only.

Delivery Truck for the KRON 4 News Set from FX Design just arrived today. Remnants of the old set will be donated to Academy of Art SF.

That's a shame. Academy of Art is a for-profit college that is nothing but a scam. They need no charity. https://www.sfchronicle.com/bayarea/article/Ex-students-blame-for-profit-Academy-of-Art-15061438.php

It's like Evening/PM Magazine should make a comeback. All these stations and groups have all of this "content" from other places that belongs in shows like these instead of yet another newscast.

Many non-O&Os and even non-NBC affiliates air AD as well.

I know we're not supposed to take Rich seriously but when he said "....goodbye to that awful 80's K-TEL music and on that front alone, hallelujah" re: Instant Classics, i'm like, bitch please, K-Tel wished it sounded as good as IC, even when KRON's own outlived its useful life, instead of simply an artifact of a worn down discotheque. Have some seats, please. *End rant* Oh, and Thanks for coming to my TED Talk. Just saying.

Divorce Court is the first show to start this season as they started on Monday with new judge and bailiff (Judge Faith Jenkins & Juan Bustamante who worked together before on “Judge Faith” from 2015-17) and a virtual audience.

Relax. It's likely a victim of what a former PD friend of mine used to call the "silly season" in September, before new shows and/or new contracts start.

If they're going to do a "light" newscast, they should brand it as such. The normal open is too intense to set the mood right. They need something like KGW is doing at 7pm:

Nothing like watching 3 hour old news. I, for one, think this is going to be a huge flop. It will air on Spectrum in Southern California from 5 to 8, repeating from 8 to 11 pm. Nobody will watch it here. We have news during all those time periods in the Los Angeles area. Hell, nobody watches Spectrum News 1 in SoCal either.

Good to see Nexstar investing in the #123 market.

Well, Marissa left WAGA in February so I think this could give some credence to the possibility that Allison was basically already on her way out, but I'm still unsure as to why she was then unceremoniously booted off, assuming this was the timeline of events. Still sad for Allison, but I wish Marissa well at WTTG. ---------------- In other news, Jacob Wycoff, meteorologist at WGGB and freelance at WBZ, has now announced he is officially joining WBZ full-time, which shocks no one, considering his on-air time had sort of grown lately. He's supposed to fill in the void left by the now-retired Barry Burbank, but I kind of see him as a Todd Gutner (now at WCSH).

Sister station KTLA runs the Morning News block from 4a-11am. Then another news block from 11am-12pm under the Morning News banner with the afternoon anchors, plus news at 1pm and 3pm. Its been successful for them, but yes, it is overkill.

Here's a really neat WJZ 1992 Eyewitness News opening I just saw; might be of particular interest to the ID Junkie for an update to the WJZ package.

Besides the 4 Judge Judy runs a day you mention, there was a time in the early 2000s when Twentieth was sending 3 Simpsons feeds a day (WCGV was one of the stations that took all 3 at point)

Chris is in studio, Mary is anchoring from home. They are also back to doing that odd thing where Chris anchors one block of the newscast, then after the break Mary anchors the next block of the newscast. Curious what happened to have them revert to the anchors working from home?

Tonight, WJW weekend anchor and longtime I-Team investigator Bill Sheil anchored his final newscast after 21 years at FOX 8. Prior to that, he worked at WEWS. https://fox8.com/news/bill-sheil-retires-after-21-year-career-at-fox-8/

WRGB circa May 1986: Later that year, they would upgrade their set, graphics and hire a new meteorologist (John Cessarich).
