WTOV never got the updates under Cox like WJAC did to look more like WPXI when they updated. I'm surprised Sinclair hasn't tweaked the logo on-air....it's basically the same as when Cox bought the station and modeled it like WPXI at the time. You see the modified logo on their website (to account for adding Fox) but the News 9 logo remains unchanged to this day.

This is the WTOV DT2 (FOX 9) 10 PM open from Gage Goulding. Still no Fox logo.

Also, is anyone else creeped out by the CBS eye in this shot?

I've also encountered this problem with WBZ's weekend newscasts on CBSN before and I've just chalked it up to just some glitch that someone in the control room might not be aware of or that there is no manpower dedicated to weekend CBSN operations (if this is actually the case, it's likely an unfortunate consequence of their budget cuts, considering that WBZ had the more consistent CBSN operations of the ones with the service anyways). But then again, WBZ This Morning did air on Saturday morning, so...it's just inconsistent. The problem is replicated across almost all CBSNs, which basically don't stream weekend ops, and it's really disappointing / actually kind of depressing considering these are CBS-owned. Speaks to how local news is & isn't valued by corporations & society alike.

Their Cheyenne reporter walked out, and the lone meteorologist is leaving, their News Director doesn't know a thing about running a news operation since she was in Creative Services for several years (She made the old opens, reverse intros, etc. and if you go to YouTube and watch the old KTWO, it looks horrible. Her husband is a conspiracy theorist who works in Master Control. Neither are the brightest crayons in the box.) If anyone was smart, they would do research on KTWO BEFORE they apply.

Is it against the CW brand/style guide to recolor the CW bug to gold? I’ve seen XETV (before they lost the CW affiliation) with a blue CW logo, but I can’t think of another example... But yes, they should ditch the yellow and just stick with gold. They could do a gold on black or black on gold with the headers to keep the theme going.

I agree. If they did to these what they did to the headers on the weather graphics, it would be much more visually appealing.

Overall, the look isn't horrible, but it could use some improvement. I don't like the contrasting shades of yellow between the animation and the "2", since it's combining bright yellow and gold. Even worse is some of the colors they force into the look, like the green and gold, and it really looks bad with the green CW bug on their shows.

Yikes, talk about halfway... I agree with dma37dude (YT), this is terrible. At this point, they should've gone completely in with "Glass V.2" instead of using parts of 2 different packages.

Looks like KTVA’s Facebook page is being deleted at the end of the month. They’re redirecting followers to KTUU’s page.
