  1. I was giving you my assessment on the matter. We all have our own opinions about CBS. Do i watch CBS everyday? NO! Have I actually watched CTM & CBS Evening News, yes, but not everyday. I rarely watch GMA or Today as well, and when I do it every blue moon. If anything I do watch is cable news and NBC & ABC evening shows. Now, I don't know what you watch or have watched. Nor am I disrespecting your take on anything. I was just conversing with you on the topic alone. I hope there isn't a problem, if there's let it be known or whatever it's.

  2. Im fine with Dan Rather as Cronkie's successor. He had a straightforward delivery and that commanding anchor presence. His fault was shooting himself in the foot with his own political agendas. What CBS This Morning lacks is GMA and Today's brand recognition, and a good on-air look ( in all fairness Today and GMA's graphics aren't all that either). In CBS's defense, I like their story choice over NBC & ABC. They take their time compared to the ADHD paced, flashy graphics presentation on NBC and ABC. ABC News has gone full tabloid, accompanied by endless Disney promo

  3. KTBS ditched their Giant Octopus graphics on Friday (July 3). Along with their new package, the station has switched from 360's "Breakthrough" to Stephen Arnold's "Guardian". It also ditched the rounded, gold background behind the call letters, although it still appears in the "Mega 3 Storm Team" logo. (Weather graphics have not been changed. carrying over the look from their previous package.)

  4. So, after the GO transition to FX Group property was completed, both founders Rey Rodriguez and Ruth Dial left. Rey eventually founded the Linear Drift agency and Ruth became an independent design director for hire (her works include WLS 2013 and KSTP 2015). However last year she signed a new contract with FX Group to start producing content for GO again.

  5. I thought it was because Amy is still on vacation, Jeff is coming off doing all of the weekend newscasts, Lee is still on vacation, and there would be nobody to do the news briefs. I don't know if it was entirely because of social distancing, although that's likely a part of it

  6. I have no issues with either one, I'm just surprised that Giant Octopus is still in business even though they're nearly dormant. The graphics are fine. Although I should point out that KTBS' version of the lower thirds looks a lot like the ones used by WMC, WXIX and KOLO.

  7. Some interesting CGI graphics in this local news open from Antenna 3, Lombardy, Italy, 1993:

  8. Not surprised that The Good Dish isn't coming until 2021-22 fall season as that didn't get any interest this year like Drew Barrymore & Nick Cannon got although I think both had a tough time for time slots in afternoon in mid to small size TV markets. I was kinda surprised that Mel Robbins still had new EP's as I thought with COVID that her EP's would've ended in late May as I saw last week that she had new shows even know they were taped before everything shutdown.

  12. Certainly easier than FOX and Friends on FOX "News" Channel, for that matter!

  13. Too bad Q13 has to switch to new graphics. IMHO, the current Trib graphics are one of the best-looking graphics packages.

  14. Yep. I don’t see Hogan leaving WRAL for TEGNA. They should’ve never botched the Revish transition by moving Hogan to weekends and bringing in Scalia. Hogan and Harris would have been a great pairing. I am speculating here, but I have a feeling we could see Mark Taylor pop up on 10TV. He gained a following at WCMH, and if he was planning a move to WBNS, it puts his weekend demotion and non-renewal into context. WBNS always poaches talent from the others. Even if Dispatch is no longer in control, this still seems like a possibility. https://mobile.twitter.com/MarkTaylor

  15. I think WBNS's glory days are long gone, especially with Tegna at the helm. There have been a lot of people who have since left the station, both on-air and behind the scenes.

  17. Scott Light just left. Was it his decision? Sounds like he wasn't chosen to be Jerry's permanent replacement.
