  3. Is there anything that we can go off of? Like a link to a website or a screenshot. Or is this a prediction? Not saying you're lying or anything but just curious.

  4. Me too. Per the “May Pandemic Sweeps” thread, KDKA continues to perform well in the ratings. If contracts weren’t an issue, perhaps they should’ve asked Stacy Smith to “retire” instead? Does Kristine Sorensen take the slot, or do they hire young and cheap?

  5. As the list of dismissals at CBS grows longer, it's likely best to keep it all in one place.

  6. What I've seen so far is quite a bit of versatility and flexibility. I like the potential of it, but there's no telling how it will be used day to day. There's pros and cons in that unknown, but there appears to be more ways to change the visuals than the old set.

  7. Tepper moved the Panthers HQ to York County, SC for economic development reasons to allow rail transit to eventually expand south to Rock Hill. Charlotte chose to allow this move for the benefit of the metropolitan area (which includes 3 SC counties), and not to engage in a pissing contest that's a zero sum. As the current Panthers training facility site in Uptown is one of the parcels that would be in the assemblage developed for the new Panthers/MLS stadium. That part of the Uptown area is to become the Gateway Village. It was a strategic move on Tepper's part for Metro Charlotte.

  9. Sure it is about money, why else are they in business?!. While you make a good point about San Jose and Sacramento, San Jose (6) and Sacramento (20) are both higher ranked DMAs than both Charlotte (21) and Raleigh (27) and therefore have a much bigger fan base to draw from. As to Columbus and Cincinnati, two points: (1) Columbus almost lost their team but were it not for the city threatening to sue, and (2) you must keep in mind that you can include in their fan base Cleveland (and to lesser extent Louisville, Pittsburgh, Detroit, and Indy). It is proven that Northern California and Ohio can s

  12. No way Raleigh will fill spot 31 or 32. Same reason Tampa Bay won’t get a team because of Orlando and San Antonio won’t get a team because of Austin. Detroit, Phoenix, San Diego, Las Vegas, and Indianapolis seem best positioned for the last two spots.

  13. Based on Roadrunner's prior post, it's true with the exception of WDSU, which has always played second fiddle to WWL, and now WVUE....which has now has wrestled away the top spot from WWL even at NOON! (Probably due to Y&R being in repeats, and of course, the Tegna-itis) I wonder how WMTW is doing these days, Has Tegna watering down WLBZ and WCSH into Newscenter Maine had any effect on the Portland numbers? I know it's always been more Portland-centric with the last Bangor newscast going away some time ago, but one must wonder, if the Tegna-fication helps the others....

  15. No. You can still be creative while expressing today's design languages. Having 3D elements doesn't make it a guarantee that it'll be "creative" if one doesn't understand how its supposed to work with the design.

  17. On the tangent of Meredith and Inside Edition, I find it amusing that WFSB - Meredith's own flagship - has just stopped airing the show since starting the "temporary" 7:00 newscast. No overnight airing after Corden, nothing. This from a station that aired it at that time from it's 1989 premiere. If this is any indication, good luck finding a spot for People TV.
