  1. I guess it’s teaching them. My school class apparently stands out from the others because they taught a different style for a year or two - things like M,N,Q and Z are completely different from the mainstream .

  2. Add John H. McConnell there (the man who brought the Blue Jackets to Columbus)

  3. I had hope for WOIO since they seemed to go outside the box and commission something different. But it seems that the smaller Raycom stations are getting assimilated into the borg. I hope they at least put some thought and effort into WBTV. That's practically their flagship inherited from Raycom and J-P.

  4. A full KHSL (!!) 5:30pm newscast from 1988. If the set gives you deja vu, it must have been shipped to Chico from KPIX...

  5. For having enough money to throw around scooping up stations, you'd think they'd spend a decent amount on a decent graphics package.... this is such a downgrade from a decent package that they had through Raycom....

  6. Knowing how cheap most of Gray's graphics packages look, this was the only thing that I feared would happen to the ex-Raycom stations when the merger was announced; and it's already happening in a couple of markets (Memphis & East Texas)

  7. Yes, I think that is what I mean. It looks unfinished and its awkward animations and pauses. I am wondering if the larger markets are getting a more "pizzazz" package, while smaller markets, something lesser. But, it doesn't surprise me with Gray. I always thought the WRDW graphics were awkward and horrendously bland also.

  8. The package just seems so small-market it's not funny. At least Limerick was a decent package even if it was mutilated by some stations. I pray that stations like WBTV or WVUE get something with some pizzazz like what WOIO got.

  10. I forgot about Campbell Brown. She would have been a good choice too, Sadly her career has hit a stalemate since leaving CNN. I miss seeing her on TV. I think you right, she probably left NBC after because she was passed over for a job on Weekday TODAY Show. It sad that Weekend Anchors are often overlook when it comes ot co-hosting Jobs on The weekday show: Jodi Applegate and Soledad O'Brien in the late 90s to mid 2000s were the two of the likely successor to Katie Couric for awhile for several years. Jodi Applegate career like Campbell also seem to hit a stalemate or they are just taking a break but they both left NBC after Kaaie signed new contract. They both co-hosted Weekend TODAY at different times. Soledad has had better luck though it seems Amy Robach has often made it clear that the main reason she left Sunday TODAY and NBC was because she kept being passed over for a job on Weekday TODAY which is what she really wanted. She wrote in her book that she wanted the 9am Job in 2011 which eventually went to Savannah. Se was using the weekend show as a stepping stone to get a permanent role on the weekday one. she doing very well at ABC now.
