  1. The International Video thread may be a better fit for this, but since we're on the subject of the moon landing, let's keep it all in one place... ARD (WDR), West Germany, part 1: Part 2:

  2. I like the new opening and new title-- it's far better than the former KXLY 4 HD News title (in the same way that, IMO, my local CBS station WSPA improved by becoming 7 News and ditching the 7 On Your Side branding)!

  3. I don't think that should be airing yet since it shows Tribune cities...

  6. A long promo of Telemundo 12 from 1995, featuring former news anchor Neber Araujo (who used to double as news director during most of his run there: 1985-2002). There are many shots of the newsroom and the news team and the technology looked extremely old for the time being (e.g. the screens in the control room or the large microphones at the anchordesk). Neber was so lucky that he used to have a new laptop next to him when he presented the news. The news division was slightly revamped in the same year, airing bizarre promos like these, produced by Impetu (an advertising

  7. While the play button is getting pretty tired across the board, I can't say I hate it. Easy to read, not an uninspired flat design, full width of the screen used with no stupid branding box to the left. It's something I could live with, but I'll believe it when I see it used on-air.

  8. First 2 minutes of the new image of Telemundo, Teledoce's news service relaunched exactly one month ago. The program has a new logo, new music and new set with giant screens; also, it adopted a "conversational" style to report the news stories. A long, boring late night news update from ATC in the early hours of March 6, 1993. A closer of the lunchtime edition of TVE1's Telediario in May 1974.

  9. Absolutely love the new look! It is so fresh, cool, and modern. I'm glad they got rid of Rainmaker as it was getting dated. They've picked up the WISC theme and graphics. I also really like the new logo, it is really cool and a lot better than WISC's. Here's the morning open...

  11. Please bring John Elliott back to M-F mornings....the move was a big mistake. Elise is nice, but no pizazz or real enthusiasm. John may have a little too much enthusiasm but he was engaging on delivering the weather forecasts, along with active in supporting causes/community minded.....isn't that an important asset to have? Making changes for the sake of making changes is not always a good thing. Lynn

  12. John was the only reason I watched CBS in the morning. He would brighten my day no matter what the forecast! i think this is bad move by CBS NY to move him to weekends. Would expect weekday morning ratings to go way down now!!

  13. So very sorry they moved John! He is the best, such a cheerful, fun guy! Been watching him since he was on in the middle of the night on 4. This is a terrible move by CBS. What are they thinking? or not? Put John back on M-F where he belongs!

  14. I won’t be watching CBS in the mornings any more. Moving John Elliott lost my viewership and my office’s choice for news as well. The decision to move him lost CBS over 100 viewers on my end. So sad!

  15. First 3 minutes of an edition of Informativos Telecinco in September 2005, on the day they premiered new graphics, music and set. Telecinco's newscasts have been criticised for many years for being tabloid and sensational, and this is no exception! 42 minutes of BBC News 24 in September 1998 (from an overnight simulcast on BBC One)

  16. PLEASE move John Elliot back to weekday mornings on CBS2. His cleverness, humor and likeability is the reason I watched. The enjoyable dynamic is sadly absent. We want John back home !!
