  1. Hello all, I have started uploading videos at a new YouTube site - Houston TV History. I only have a few clips up right now, but am looking to bring back some old favorites as well as some "new" classic content in the coming days and weeks. The first three are examples of the latter - stuff I haven't posted before. A rare editorial statement from KTRK's Dave Ward on crime from August 1991. A promo for KRIV's 7 PM newscast from mid-1986, during the transition from Metromedia to Fox And not news... (well, there's a quick spot for it prior to the open) but the intro to KRIV's late night movie showcase, "Nightwatch 26" from the same period.

  3. I guess O'Donnell wants the evening shift badly, I didn't realize that she was feared internally, that was very interesting to read: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6878059/Norah-ODonnell-brazenly-trying-seize-CBS-Evening-News-anchor-job-Jeff-Glor.html

  4. Welcome back! You were gone for so long I had thought NBC threw you in jail after terminating the old account. I was about to make a whole thread begging you to return, but instead of on YT, as a website (ala FuzzyMemories and TCMediaNow).

  8. Deborah Norville announced in a prerecorded message that she will be off 'Inside Edition' for awhile, recovering from thyroid cancer surgery. She shouldn't need any additional treatment. https://www.insideedition.com/inside-editions-deborah-norville-undergo-surgery-cancerous-thyroid-nodule-after-viewer-spotted-lump

  9. Ron "The Ghoul" Sweed, the successor to Cleveland TV legend Ernie "Ghoulardi" Anderson, has died. https://fox8.com/2019/04/02/ron-the-ghoul-sweed-legendary-tv-personality-has-passed-away/amp/ His show was carried on 10 stations across the country owned by Kaiser Broadcasting including Detroit's WKBD and Cleveland's WKBF (which signed off in 1975 and was re-incarnated as WCLQ several years later... it's now Univision owned WQHS). His show made a comeback at WCLQ in the 80s and later in the 1990s at WBNX.
