  1. "El show de Videomatch" ends almost at midnight on a rarely warm night in June of 1998, as Canal 5 Rosario takes a small break from Telefe programming and shows us pictures from the third biggest city in Argentina (with music of local legend Fito Páez), and suddenly rejoins Telefe for a little bit of soccer action and "El equipo del mundial" from France.

  2. The time switch was reported on earlier in the thread. I don’t remember Matt and Katie ever hosting the third hour. Once Kathie Lee leaves, they should give Kathie Lee and Hoda’s Hour to Jenna Bush Hager and bring on Chelsea Clinton to be her co-host.

  3. Speaking of that, I just watched a 1984 Steelers game from December and saw a promo similar to KOCO’s “How will you know...” for Channel 11 News. And yes, they had that name in ‘84, but the logo hasn’t changed yet. Uploading that clip to my channel...

  4. Willie’s Sunday show kind of requires the no personality type of tone. When he’s on other shows during the week he definitely shows his personality, and I’m not sure how you came up with him not being a real newsman.

  5. One problem. On Sundays, FOX 4 airs Sports Sunday with Mike Doocy at 10:00PM. Speaking of Mike Doocy, he hosting a new locally produced half-hour program called "Free 4 All" weeknights at 10:30PM this fall. The station will be dropping 10:30PM repeats of Modern Family to accommodate the new show. http://unclebarky.com/dfw_files/10ddb1d1dcb355ec1a35dc61176c95de-4208.html

  6. Bumping this thread, the desire for WIVB during the mid 1990s is needable.

  7. Did mention Marvin Zindler in the end so it sounded like a tribute report to it.

  8. The 4am start is one thing, but the additional hour to 10am is probably a bit much. Since Kelly & Ryan will move to 10am, it will be interesting to see what KDFW does at 11am. Wendy? The Real? I guess Uncle Barky didn't know that one yet.

  9. The problem is - in David Muir, ABC found itself with a dramatic, attractive and especially flamboyant evening news host who is perfect for attracting viewers in the demo - notably women. It's like the so-called "appeal" of Justin Trudeau. Peter Jennings - although not gay - I remember was really the first to have this whimsical, conversational (and higher-pitched) kind of delivery that engendered a deeper kind of "connection" with the viewer than the more impersonal, old-school "voice of God"-style anchors like Dan Rather. Jennings definitely represented a "different" mould of anchorman in h

  10. It's not his fault... But he is sure gonna get the blame. You can't blame the sale weasels...you can't blame the set or graphics. CBS should adopt my "End of News Days" final newscast format. "The incredibly non-biased multi-gender liberally-conservative quasi-woke international-action-eyewitness news-team..." or tinbmglcqwiaent That's it folks...after this format it's all over.

  11. Rare commercial clips from WITN in 1997: Includes promos for weathercaster Steve Hawley at 3:11 and sports with Trey Jones at 12:46. They were using that same "Business Break" graphic with Network Music's "Bright Expectations" .

  13. A KTVU report from presumably December 1988 by anchor Elaine Corral on Pixar's third annual Christmas party, after which she roasts Pixar laser scanner technician Don Conway. Pressing play will take you right to this report, which is part of a compilation of videos made for Pixar's 1988 Christmas party, which appears on the recently-uploaded DVD titled Made in Point Richmond. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=OIcu8w3rXTQ;t=337

  14. Look for radical changes coming to the AM show at CBS3. Early look at May book... they finished dead last in every half hour period.

  18. KXAS got a new seamless LED video wall. Appears to be opposite the weather center and will be used for weather and traffic in the mornings. If I’m not mistaken when they installed the one behind the anchor desk they moved it into a similar position? https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=1686492588098590 Posting this here as it’s not worth a thread.
