Morning sports anchors are fine, though unnecessary for anything under 4 hours. That said...c'mon, weeknights should come first.

If he wasn't living so far away and occasionally filling a similar role at WTMJ, I'd say it's a possibility. The job listing on their website is asking for minimum 5 years experience, versus the usual 3-5, and they're looking for large market experience, so they seemingly want more of a veteran.

I think Ed's voice sounds just fine. A little deeper, perhaps. Not much different from when my station was using him in the late '80s-early '90s. Certainly not as raspy as Charlie Van Dyke.

For a while there a few yrs ago it seemed like FOX5 was ready to compete. Now they've got nothing on but fluff and human interest stories. I'm sorry but I don't care about Lisa Evers and her show on hot 97. I don't care about their podcasts. I want the news. Atleast Good Day is worth watching still. Miss Greg but Rosanna and Lori are great.. Suki and Jen are good too. Just did the evenings and get a new set damn it. By the way Harry got canceled so may be if nothing new comes out they can put Ernies show on during the early afternoon or late morning and go back to the regular format at 6.

A KSNW newsbreak from 1986 using possibly the potential Peters/Chip Davis package that the Hatch Family stations used in the mid-1980s - wouldn’t be too surprised if this package was also used by KUTV, or even if they were the commissioners (KUTV debuted the Welch graphics in ‘84, KSNW was using “All The News” and a cheap WFSB knockoff around that time):
