  1. Firing people left and right every other month, constantly changing formats/news presentation and a hosts of other things is what hurt WFLD and not Bob and Walter per se. Bob's first stint at WFLD could be considered somewhat successful, but his ego got the best of him then (and always has). Walter had a pretty decent run too (12-14 yrs.?), but honesty, anchoring was never his strong point. They are in dire need of more experienced people and the hiring of Perez is hopefully just the beginning of building a more solid team of anchors/reporters. And if one day she somehow ends up taking over Dawn's spot, then so be it. I doubt anyone would be up in arms over that scenario.

  2. I don't see the point of the 3 anchor format. Michael is not a broadcast journalist. He is a former football player who just happens to be good hosting talk shows and game shows. This morning, Robin barely said a word for 10 minutes during the 7am A Block. She had a few lines during the open, but, that was about it. If they wanted a 3rd anchor, I don't understand why they didn't promote Amy. She is 200x times better. GMA better be careful. One slip-up and it could be back to #2. Today is catching up after the Ann Curry saga of 2012.

  3. Quite frankly I'm finding it all hard to watch. Michael is just not good, where as Jesse Palmer was really good. Watching George, Robin and Michael open the show is painful, it's like as if they know this is just as bad as it looks on TV.

  4. A historical compilation of news opens from ORF in Austria, starting in 1955 (updated): Note the Network Music production track ("Dignity").

  8. That was rhetotical. I know why. Because in my opinion, right now, Michael is an okay co-host. He was a great co-host on Live, but he's only good in doses here. Just like Lara was. (And look how that turned ou with her). The fact that they're giving him more time on-screen and giving him equal billing when he doesn't deserve it (IMO) will end up exactly like Lara--not a success.

  9. It would be nice if she could read a prompter.

  10. Yeah, it wasn't ready yesterday. Funny thing is, the "relaunch" (without the new set), was really not much different than normal, except for Michael sitting at the desk. No significant format changes on what was supposed to be a new day.
