My comment was more about the excessive time Raphael is getting for a new baby when I dont recall any other guy getting that much time off after a baby. Natalie obvisouly will be different since she's the one who will physically be giving birth and will be out a few months.

It's the new parental leave laws.
In New York i I think it's 8 weeks now for the parents paid time off.
    Dad, Mom...no matter.

I don't think family leave is gender specific. Also, many companies offer enhanced time up to 12 weeks. I worked with someone, probably about 20 years ago now who stayed home with the baby as his wife went back to work. Either parent can take advantage of it. Good for Raphael being able to take advantage of Comcast/NBCUs policy and bond with his new child. I know many folks that wish they had that opportunity.

Looks like Raphael will be out all summer. Erica Grow mentioned on her IG that she would be pulling double shifts on the weekends all summer long.

Andrea Romero from Telemundo 47 was on Saturday morning.
Krystal Klei from NBC Philly did the weather Sunday morning.

When did News 4 get a new (network-inspired) logo for TINY, or are they debuting this with the 4am expansion?

I really hate the NBC O&O graphics mandate. Hideous.

So local is not allowed to use the "orange-striped sun" from the main Today logo? Using that instead of the peacock would've made more sense.

Looks like Jummy is getting a co-anchor on the weekends.

TVNewsCheck stated this morning that WTVJ news and sports anchor Adam Kuperstein will be the new weekend evening co-anchor/reporter at Channel 4. He will start in September.

Gus Rosendale keeps getting passed over. I presume we might see Adam Kuperstein anchoring weekday newscasts in the coming years.

Starting this Sunday (8/6), the morning line up on wnbc will be as follows...

    6am: Today in NY
8am: Sunday Today with Willie Giest
    9am: Open House NYC
    9:30am: Today in NY
    10:30am: Meet the Press

Wnbc was the only o&o to air Sunday Today at 9am... That's no longer the case.

Why you want to put an LXTV show on at 9am? They don't want to compete with 7 on the 9am half-hour? In my view, that's pretty dumb. What's wrong with putting that show on after MTP or before the 6am news?

I don't get it either...I would like to see Meet the Press at 10am and at 11am they could air Open House or another program.

It currently airs at 8:30. Basically it is swtiching the 8 am hour with 9 am but reversing the time of LXTV starts.

    The prodigal weatherman returns!

Raphael Miranda has tweeted that he'll be returning to work at WNBC starting Saturday, August 26.

Chuck Scarborough is not in tonight which I think is almost 3-4 weeks he's been off. Wondering where he is. Maybe he is just taking most of his vacation time now.

Chuck is back and he's been off air because he had knee surgery on both knees! He said he's back two weeks earlier than expected. Good for him!
