Don’t forget “We’re simulcasting on our radio partner!”

Yes, especially in upper-mid and large markets. WCMH-TV (channel 4) simulcasts on WNCI 97.9 FM in the Columbus market, and WSYX simulcasts on NewsRadio 610 WTVN.

Not for snow but when there’s a severe thunderstorm warning that could turn into a tornado watch warning (I want to say there are about five of these a year in Baltimore) coverage WBAL simulcasts on WBAL-AM and when it’s really bad they’ll take over WIYY/98 Rock. That’s pretty much the only simulcasting that’s been done regularly — that the TV station mentions.

I don’t think WBFF (who provide some forecasts for radio stations), WJZ (despite them having had sister radio stations) or WMAR simulcast - if they do they don’t mention it during coverage.

When WBAL simulcasts people take to DCRTV and complain that it’s not radio friendly. Especially when take a towercam or helicopter shot to say something about the storm forming and how it looks. Or when they show the radar and the meteorologist points something out like the hook formation.
