Released today, here's the sixth version of "The Tower." Love the video of the NBC Tower in Chicago.
Meh. The Tower's 7-note signature isn't very prominent. A very safe, forgettable theme.
Sounds more like a Gari-type package than what 615 usually churns out.
That video is cheesy as all get out, but the update overall isn't that bad...I particularly like the severe weather theme.
I'm curious to find out who the commissioning station is? And will this finally be the update in music that is needed for some of the NBC O&O's?
The main open sure fits the short open used by a certain O&O group that uses that building.
I wouldn't object to the tenants of that building that originated that package adopting this update. (Wink. Wink.)
I mean, really...
Its not that bad either. its a possibility that it might come to all of them to replace L.A. Groove.
I was going to say that!
The breaking news theme in particular moves and sounds like something you'd hear in the NBC Collection.
It’s ok. I adore WBTS’ package way more. I know for a fact that WMAQ is going to take it sooner or later, but I don’t think the rest of them will.
The severe weather theme sounds an awful lot like several themes from FirstCom's Breakthrough package.
I think KSBY is the first one to actually use this music?
I think they commissioned it.
It's in the same key and same feel as L.A. Groove - 2004.
Of all the places to debut—the 123rd market??
Market 123 commissioned a new version of The Tower. Seriously?
Crazier things have happened. Trump became the U.S. President.
Meredith's WSMV in Nashville is now using the new music along with new graphics.
