She’s pretty awful... something about her delivery is off...
Her delivery is very sugary. I’m sure she’s a fine person, but I’ve always thought she should be at 11 or 4, not prime time.
Forgive me if this has already been asked or if it seems like a basic question, but is WLS going through a purge? Ron, Linda, Jerry, now Kathy in pretty quick succession. Are they suffering as of late?
I don’t think a purge is happening.
I loved that sign off!
Tracy was on today and will be on tomorrow. It's rare for her to do both weekend days.
Sylvia Lopez left not too long ago as well. Though I don’t think hers was by choice.
Perez. And that was a surprise to all. I remember that day vividly.
It’s been a really long day.
Alan Krashesky and Cheryl Burton are holding down the fort on the WCIU newscast tonight. It's definitely a funny holiday weekend quirk when the A-team is available, but everyone else is off.
It was so nice of ABC 7 to pick up another limited season of "Eyewitness News at 10 at Midnight", after WGN canceled their version of that program.
Let me guess, Cubs game went into extras?
NDs should just record newscasts or throw in the towel in situations like that.
Nope, 9pm central game in San Francisco. Nowhere to put the news than after.
They do that in smaller markets. I feel like the responsibility of a top 3 market is to run a late newscast no matter how late it is. If you have to send one of the two anchors home or use substitutions for anchors or the other roles as necessary, you still want to put on a live late newscast if you're a top 3 market.
With Rob off, Hosea home from the hospital, and Alan on assignment at the border, Ravi is doing every show this week. Even though she worked this morning, Karen could've filled in at 4 yesterday, or Cheryl could've gone solo at midnight, but Jim and Larry had worked from 4, too.
Hosea was in the hospital? What happened? I hope he's ok...
He wasn't on for a few weeks, so I checked him out social media, and it seems like he went in for some abdominal pain around the 20th of June, which led to exploratory surgery. He came home just after Independence Day.
And who filled in for Cheryl Scott since she is on vacation in Hawaii
Phil takes the 5 and the 7 (from Larry), while Larry takes the 10. Standard procedure, now.
Feder mentioned Hosea's surgery on this, the anchor's 61st birthday.
Update: They wished him a happy birthday on the 4 o'clock news, saying that the surgery was related to his previous cancer treatment.
