They'd mess up the music as well (using the morning cut of NG4 at night doesn't work)
hey, it works for 3. (They're trying to distance themselves from being WCBS' "twin")
They also seem to be trying to distance themselves from news. Eyewitness Features. The difference between CBS Local O&O's approach to news and that of CBS News - especially CBS This Morning is striking. At least here in Philly we get all that fluff & stuff from KYW now, while we get serious journalism and "More News." from the network. Does the B in CBS now stand for Bi-polar?
Maybe their goal is to bring back PM Magazine lol
That would only work if one of their "notables" would return too - Maury Povich, Ray Murray, Richard Bey, or even Jerry Penacoli.
That's Evening Magazine, you heathen.
Keep an "eye" out. Very very soon.
Do you work at CBS or something? Haha
I think they have the KYW signature now integrated
We discussed this a few pages back when this open debuted. It's only for the morning show.
CBS3 now has the new CBS O&O graphics.
Does anyone have the new open?
I'll post it after the show is over.
It was a breaking news open today.
Yeah. Maybe at 5 today.
Its 5:00. That open is great. Fits in great with everything the other stations are doing.
Here we go:
They're no longer using the morning cut of Enforcer for opens and there's actual city footage in the open and not some still picture composited over some stock sky animation. Also they're now IDing individual newscasts. They had gotten away from that for awhile. Big improvement for them.
Thank goodness they kept the Eyewitness News name.
Here's the morning open and KYW's traditional 5AM station ID:
Great graphics. However, this video shows two big problems with CBS3:
1. I feek like Brooke Thomas tries too hard and it doesn't seem genuine. At the 0:29 second mark, her "uhhhhh" seems forced. The sad part is, she's the better anchor of the morning pair. Don't get me started on Jim.
2. Looking at both videos, Ukee and Jim are both off. Their subs: Rahel Solomon and Nicole Brewer (who by the way are both very capable anchors in their own right). This station is lacking a male bench. Ukee is their main male anchor, and the only other male is Jim, who probably belongs on weekend mornings (and that's being gracious).
