One can safely assume that if they couldn't bother to remove the wrap off the van, then they sure as hell couldn't have been bothered to take their trash out.

I randomly remembered that another Scripps station did this, but at least the new owner was going to re-wrap the truck anyways. KJRH sold two trucks to Eric Wotila/MI News 26 and left logos on the trucks then too.

Scripps hires for one thing, but everyone kinda ends up doing everything.
BTW Mimi already earned her super secret news handle/ radio code name...
    "Sphinx"

The code names are a "Term of endearment" and is decided by a secret drunken committee from San Diego Press Club, SPJ and Deja Girls (Midway Drive). Not all reporters are lucky enough to have a secret code name.

I don't know when this happened, but all of the Scripps station websites have new headers now that are smaller than the old ones.

As of April 30, WHTV will be no more. That's one less LMA for Scripps to worry about.

No word yet on where MyNetworkTV winds up, though I wouldn't be shocked if it landed nowhere else in Lansing given it's a dead network walking.

Over/Under on how long this lasts before it fails and bets on how disastrous the ratings will be?

I don't know where some stations will be able to commit to this; WTMJ already has their advertorial and The Real (the first thing that might stick for them in the ex-Santa Barbara timeslot since Montel) and that's it, unless they decide to give up RTM to another station and shove The List to after-Carson Daly territory.

The problem is if Ben Aaron can make this work; his co-host was driven off Crazy Talk three months before its cancellation (we still don't know why but it can be inferred 'we hit the wrong demo' easily) and it basically got killed when he decided 'enough' and followed his wife to Dancing with the Stars. If he's going to do this, it has to be until May this time.

Quite a few Scripps stations carry Steve Harvey and when his new show's launch was announced, Scripps was conspicuously absent from the list of station groups carrying the new show (so was Hearst, now that I think about it). I wonder if this will replace it in their markets.

Doing a quick scan of TV markets 10-100 and there are a few possibilities:

--Raleigh/Durham + Fresno: I could see a scenario where ABC cashes out of the region and decides to sell WTVD. (It also gives them a solid #2 in a growing Southeast market.) Same deal with KFSN, except they get a significant market leader.
--Columbus: Word was that the Wolfe family was looking to sell, but as it turns out, that wasn't the case. However, if Scripps gives them a nice offer for WBNS, could they change their minds?
--Oklahoma City/Tulsa: I don't know enough about KOTV/KWTV's ownership situation, but if Griffin were looking to get out of the business, Scripps would make a lot of sense, wouldn't it?
--Providence: WLNE's probably too far gone, but Scripps could probably buy it and give it a WKBW-style revamp.

    Just thinking out loud...
