Agreed. Though, to benefit the rest of the viewing area (and to prevent viewers e-mailing in saying "Hey I don't live in LA" etc), they could have went with "SoCal's Very Own".

KTLA is not on cable in many parts of Socal anymore due to blackout rules.

Not like the old days when everyone had KTLA...and that ota signal blasted all the way to San Diego.

Ditto with WJW, which has used "Cleveland's Own" as it's slogan since 1987 (dating back to the waning years of Storer Broadcasting ownership).

KTLA did briefly in the early 90s use "L.A.'s Very Own" as a slogan,

The new sports studio debuted this morning, located next door to their traffic studio. In the past, their former sports studio also was used as a stand up location by reporters, for later news shows.

Is that one of those Freestyle soda machines from Jack in the Box behind him?

They can make Fanta Grape and Dr.Pepper anytime they want.

KTLA apparently is having some "lighting" problems in their studio for the 9 PM show, so Courtney Friel is solo anchoring the show from the newsroom. Looks like over the weekend they added the lighted KTLA 5 logo in the background as well as some light bordering the top and bottom of the TV row. Looks much better than before.
