KPNX teases from October 1994 including several NBC co-promos tagged "It's Easy as 1-2".
This look didn't last long, however. In January 1988, the newscast was cut back from 60 to 30 minutes, and the branding used by the other Seven Network stations was adopted, complete with a new set, new graphics, The Mission by John Williams (a.k.a. the NBC Nightly News theme), and the Seven Nightly News branding:
The open matches that with kcop in los Angeles.
Indeed. Since Australian TV stations relied heavily on American TV graphics designers at the time, I assume they were both produced by the same company:
Someone a couple pages back posted a vintage KSDK promo...there, I saw the link for the station's 70th anniversary special, and here it is...
Here is some classic KOTA in the form of Art Jones morning intros. At 1:36 is a "KOTA Territory AM News" intro. These were recorded back in the 1990s.
Here's a partial KOTA newscast. From 1987! It features an unknown theme piece which sounds great.

News from Delaware anyone?
From the "20 Years ago today..." collection, which means, I was in the LA area 20 years ago today!

Get ready to feel "That Macon Spirit" with promos recorded from WGXA-TV 24, Macon's ABC affiliate, during the early 1980s.
More rare Macon television as WCWB-TV brings you a localized version of NBC's "Proud As A Peacock" promo campaign. An ID is included.
"Action News 2, Where You'll Be The First to Know". Here are three promos featuring the news team of John Pruitt and Monica Pearson (then Monica Kaufman).
Some WAFF material from 1986, which I consider to have the third wave of We're Your Kind of People:
And a WAFF open from 2000:
No Teleprompter in sight in this 1981 newscast from Macon's WCWB-TV (now WMGT):
And few newscasts these days would lead with an unsexy-but-important story such as the city budget.
Wow, WCWB's on-air look at the time was even more primitive than I expected...no wonder WGXA creamed them in the ratings from day one!
I didn't know 1981 took place at the same time as 1975 myself.
WEEK in 1998. Watch at 0:51 as a stage tech rushes to get out of view!
Canal 13's promo of the "new" Telenoche, but not in 2015: it was 1992 when that happened for the first time.
Back then, they said "we've the world's more modern cameras". That was a little bit exagerated.
They really had the best team (anchors, reporters, producers, technicians, etc...), they were #1 at 8PM, and the quality of pictures made you feel you were in the 90s, but in countries like the UK, Australia and NZ, the picture was more clearer.
And one more from the "20 Years ago today..." collection... (this is all I've found so far from this trip...)
